A typical day at work is inputting data for a freight company.  Training is done by someone that says...just do this...and with no explanation.  Criteria for inputting bills constantly changes from company to company, and employees are expected to simply remember the information for 100's of accounts.  The supervisor of this position is unprofessional and is much more interested in her personal life, and office politics than she is in training.  Employees are expected to stay at work, (even if you are only part time), until the job is done.  At times this would mean as much as 8 hours per shift...which no longer equates to part time.  There is no option to refuse.  The work environment is pleasant enough, if you can deal with the rest.

New hire came along after I was employed for about a year. New hire was very needy for attention. Purposely picks verbal conflicts with other employees to gaslight them to get written up. Supervisor and Manager incorrectly characterize the incident as mutual conflict instead of bullying in the workplace. New hire uses opportunity to gain advancement within company ranks. As a result, the new hire got the other employee eventually laid off. Then tried it with myself. I didn't engage the new hire and immediately reported his vulgar confrontation. Was characterized as a mutual conflict by the Terminal Manager. I refused the meeting with the new hire and Terminal Manager. Thought it was a conflict resolution to deal with the new hire behavior. So I terminated my contract with them. 

If you start to work here (Castlegar), and are still being trained for a particular job, be prepared to be reprimanded for things you may be doing wrong as well as for things you didn't do yet are blamed for. Even though you have corrected those mistakes you were reprimanded for, the fact that you made them will be held against you. There is a certain person that has no business instructing a new employee. Additionally, if you cross either that person or their significant other who also works there, I firmly believe they will conspire against you, treat you in a disrespectful and aggressive manner, and fabricate things against you for which you will be blamed for.

Just being able to do my job that I was hired to do professionally.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Meeting deadlines and making sure freight was loaded properly on trailers for wheat distribution.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Good / great. Good communication good direction positiveness

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
The ship viduly starts slow until the freight start showing up, and then it starts getting really busy by 10 o'clock. You have all your outbound done little clean up, go home.

After change of management there is no excitement working for the company. 0 rating.

Forceful dispatch system.Racism ,harrasment,discrimination and bulley.Management has no clue about  safety.

Scary environment and fearful environment

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
No day at all.Young chineese man running the show with no experience ,back stabbing drivers to benefit himself.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Good place to work depending on which office staff gets fired and another dictator gets hired. Politics are crazy

Politics and the dictatorship from the so called staff in charge

Good company drivers are cool that's it

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
12 hours and the bosses breathing down ur throat

Typical BC/AB pin to pin linehaul, all nightshift. As a company driver they’re getting rid of the sleeper trucks so it’s pretty much only daycabs left now. The pay is higher average, not great but not terrible. As an O/O I believe they treat their drivers well. 

Management is quite horrible, equipment is in questionable condition at best. Long hours, lack of support for their staff, and a totally thankless job. Their “driver appreciation” BBQs they do during the day and the drivers don’t get any of it. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Management was very good. I have nothing bad to say about the company.  I worked with a good team.  It was just time to move onto bigger and better things.

Dealing with drivers and their attitudes.

It’s a team culture for the most part. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
No such thing as a typical day.  Every day was different

Horrible place to work. No training, extra long hours, and no one cares about your personal life. If you take a day to yourself you get yelled at or put in a bad position at work. At any moment in time your job is not secure. Processing is horrible. Employees like to put their work load on you to make theirs easier, whether you knew or not. They don’t give layoffs or anything close to. They just let you go when they feel. Worse place to work for not worth anyones time. You’ll never go up or get a raise.

I love to work with people who helpful especially the manager he always their if i need help. My co worker is very helpful as well.  The hardest part on my job is to unload trailer. The loader / shipper dont care they way they load the shipment. I talked  pictures every day but no changing  at all. 
Sometimes it is clear not to stack at the top of sensitive shipment but the shipper continues to do soo. They don’t care.
