how does a company that operates inside Scotia Bank Area and cooks for MLSE players (Leafs, Raptors and TFC) only pay there cooks minimum wage? if you pay minimum wage, expect minimum effort. working here is unfortunate because you can make more working at mcdonalds/ tim hortons /walmart then working for this company. 

so as a full time employee not only do you make minimum wage, but you also dont get any benefits.

 if your someone fresh out of highschool with no education and don't know what you want to do with your life. working here is perfect. if you have a family to support and bills to pay, i would strongly against working here.

also a huge lack of management skills and communication

Preparing and cooking food for customers. Making mass orders of food for parties. I've learned new different food recipes like Canadian, Italian and different varieties of soup. I think the management is good, they help us, offer free lunches and give us breaks.My co-workers help me a lot and I help them too, we use good communication skills and we have a good relationships with each other. The hardest part for me is grilling food since it is very hot. My most enjoyable part is when we all cook food together so we can enjoy ourselves.

Worked here for exactly 1 year. Won't lie, it is a fast paced working environment. I have learned how to prepare food dishes and to work quickly with a team. Management was friendly and understandable. The hardest part of the job was most likely when it was time to start cooking or serving the food dishes to the guests. Most enjoyable part of working with Pinnacle Caterers is my coworkers, made me feel like I was part of a family. A very welcoming and humorous crowd.

typical day is work for 8-10 hours prepping all ingredients, then cooking.
I learned lots of teamwork skills and how to adapt to situations.
The workplace culture was very laid back.
Hardest part of the job was the dinner rush.
Most enjoyable part of the job was making food for myself.

I really enjoyed working at this job because of the friendly team and supportive management. The environment was fast-paced but positive, and I always felt valued for the work I did. I learned new skills, built strong relationships with coworkers, and looked forward to coming in every day. It’s a great place for anyone who enjoys teamwork, customer service, and a fun atmosphere.

Don't recommend working here.  They don't give your tips for over a month.  Management expects you to work all shift, even if the role is part-time.  

there was no such thing as atypical day as schedules varied from event to event. Sometimes hours would be longer based on proximity to other events. For example if the Leafs played on a Saturday night and the Raptors played the next afternoon we had to sat to restock the suits for the next game.

Working for Pinnacle Caterers has been a great experience. I mostly work in the suites at the Air Canada Centre which is great because I get to experience the games/concerts first hand (when I'm not too busy running around the building delivering beverages to the suites). I get to interact with different people everyday

I would walk into work before noon and not leaving work until past 11. Luckily I was paid an hourly wage because they take advantage of there sous chefs by having them on salary wages overworking them. No breaks and staff meals not regularly ready. Hard because you are spending all day there

The management is nice but some staff members are lazy and love transferring their jobs to someone else. Also, your contribution will be valued if you're putting in the work. Thankfully there are free meals from time to time.
