I worked here for 3 months and honestly it was a waste of time. You would call every phone number you'd have on one customer and even their workplace which would make them very mad. I never felt comfortable doing these duties, In some way I felt like I was working at a scam centre. The interview was sugar-coated to the max. They only hired young people as "the young" are easy to manipulate. The whole environment is based on favouritism, if they don't like you, you won't be treated like the others.

You do get commission, which makes the whole job very competitive and you have to be very fast.

Commission goes from bronze to platinum, trust me its a pain to even get to silver. you get 1% at bronze as an example.

The only nice thing I have to say about this place is the team I had been training with when we first got hired, almost all of them quit at the same time I did.

I could write a book about how bad things are here when it comes to stress and how fast paced you have to be.

Any small mistake will be emailed to you from HR like the company is about to burn because of what you have done. 

The brutal calls you have to deal with is insane with some customers that I saw a co-worker start crying multiple times. I honestly don't blame the customer, we literally call them 10 times in an hour just to get a hold of them, even their workplace. I wouldn't be surprised if some of these customers got fired from their job from receiving so many calls from us.

The lunch room had a rule that you cannot eat curry, since it smells. This pretty much explains their diversity.

Bathroom breaks were recorded, so if you have a weak bladder or stomach, just know the manager will be having a chat with you every time.

If you have any kind of emergency at home and such, you'll be threatened to be "let go" and they will "handle the repercussions".

This is the biggest thing yet so take a seat. There is a strict No Phone rule on set of the call centre obviously since we are dealing with the customers personal information. But surprisingly the rule was not enforced for one of the team leaders I was working beside in these cubicles. This person used his phone daily under the desk and I have complained to the manager about these events but it was never approached upon, not sure why that is but it could be because the assistant manager at the time was in a relationship with this team leader. Favouritism? 

Now with this same team lead person, at some point I started to get better results with the work I was doing, which led to him calling me a middle eastern slur and a racist asian term. Again this was reported to the manager and nothing was done. 

If you are a minute late you will be given a warning. 3 strikes and you're out. 

Management does not care about the new employees, if you quit there will just be a new fresh batch of workers ready to take your place for the next couples weeks or months till they realize how bad of a work environment this is. 

There are some CSR's that have been there for years and I don't know how they are not mentally drained from this environment.

Management like to create these "games" we participate in to win a bonus of some sort. (could be a day off of your choosing etc) but really its just something to make you work even harder.

In conclusion, my advice is to stay away from there if you're thinking long term work. this is definitely short term or not working here at all.

I worked here for over a year and it would be longer if I didn't move. The Vancouver office is really nice and I never had time to see Surrey but you can switch offices if you want. The pay is competitive for a comfy office job and there is a commission you get every day which makes your salary better and you can make a lot of money if you are a hard worker.

How it works is customers in the US apply for loans and you do what you can to help them get approved which involves doing some stuff they train you to do so you don't need experience. Customers call you or you call them and it involves verifying if someone is employed and checking their bank statements for some things before they can get a loan. The biggest part is you have to verify the customers information including calling their work to ask if they work there. There is more to it but they show you how to do it in training.

The interview was easy and training is easy but a little challenging for some things but they are very helpful. The age of everyone is anywhere from 20 up to 50 but mostly around 25 or 30. 

You do get commission, which makes the whole job fun and management has fun competitive contests so you are pretty busy but its a lot of fun. You get a lot of vacation time and you can win a lot more playing games.

The other nice things I have to say about this place is the team is all good to each other and can be really talkative and there is always something funny that has everyone laughing.

It is business and customers depend on you so you get feedback on how you are doing all the time. If you make mistakes they are good about teaching you for next time.

It is dealing with customers so some customers are not happy with bad news but because you are helping them customers are happy to talk to you. Like once a week you have someone that is upset they were declined but generally they just say fine and hangup.

The lunch room is where most people hangout and relax but they have quiet areas if you want to chill on your breaks.

I would work there for the rest of my life if I could have. I give it 5 of 5 stars and a big thumbs up.

This company has a type they're looking for and if you fit that mould, you'll do well if you like the work. If you're quieter or not as interactive as they'd like in training, they will not treat you well. 

The manager told me in a meeting "Quiet people don't do well here" which is one of the most unprofessional things a manager could say to an employee. He also made other remarks about people he believes are too introverted. Management doesn't care much for work ethic if they've decided they don't like you. If they like you in training, you'll get more approved applications and better leads. If they don't like you, they'll hold you back regardless of how well you do. It's a hive mentality there and they don't value the individual. 

The job itself can be interesting and rewarding. I would have stayed had it been a more supportive environment. All the team leads are helpful and some go out of their way to help new employees succeed, but that only goes so far when management puts a stop to it. Minor errors are magnified, particularly for the employees that management doesn't like, so the bigger errors are then grounds for a written warning. 

The company needs to have a third party, unbiased HR person, because the trainers and the manager are in close contact with each other and share similar biases. A proper HR department is needed to ensure a fair and non-abusive working environment. 

The vacation time is generous and they make an effort to make the place fun, but if more effort was given to make employees feel appreciated for the work they do, they'd be able to keep more people long term. The key is to make work a place that people don't want to escape from.

Tl;dr Low class work atmosphere in a nice area of North Vancouver. It's an okay job to have while you're looking for another job, but unless you fit the mould of what the company wants for a long term employee, they will not treat you well. Don't take their emails and remarks personally. There are better places with better management. 

The job is great for people to have while looking for another job (exactly what I used it for), but overall the job exhausting and anxiety-inducing. You are required to call customers at work and it feels wrong. I always felt guilty doing it as I would get many angry customers asking why I would call them at work and I really couldn't answer beyond just the fact that I have to. 

You will also encounter some of the nastiest customers here. I've had insults, screaming, and even death threats at times. It can be very discouraging. The management does their best to make the job as fun as can be but it still doesn't make up for the weak pay and draining work. The pay absolutely does not amount to the work you do at this job. 

You will also get emails on a near-daily basis that point out the mistakes you make. I've never had issues with constructive criticism as it is essential for improving, but these emails can be passive-aggressive and too much for a simple mistake. Nearly every little thing you do wrong you will be called out for. 

I also don't agree with the company's approach to their customers. They will promise customers a call back on whether their loan will be approved or not, and then will proceed to not call them back at all if they are declined. 

Overall, I would say look somewhere else for work. Unless the idea of talking on the phone all day excites you or you have no other choice, keep looking for different work. 


You not only worked for them but they worked for you by offering advancement via courses. The company encourages you too advance with and grow with the company. The potential to make a good living comes from working for good commissions to add to the salary. I had a few raises in my first year and probably 4 in 2 years if I was counting. My experience started out as a Customer Service Representative. The bonuses and compensation for doing well was always well rewarded. The professionalism, culture, the co-workers and management made my day. It felt like being at home. I learnt how to be proactive & professional at what I do best, make customers happy. The management was super friendly & professional.

Best job I have had. Once you know what you are doing they trust you to do a good job and leave you alone to do it. My team was there if I needed help but for the most part you are given a lot of freedom. The commission is excellent! The salary is average but the commission is great with lots of vacation.

Being there taught me about the basics of finance and business. They’re very understanding and were very kind about helping when I needed it. Lots of things done to help me grow and really good benefits. It’s a very secure job there are regular pay increases if you put in effort to be a good employee and you will learn a lot. A great place to work.

I did my interview on skype because covid. the manager called me after a few days and I got the job. Wish they were closer commute is bad because I come from Richmond but manager was acomadating and changed my shift to beat traffic and I can go to the closer office. my first day we do safety stuff on covid and learn about the company and all about loans. manager is so happy and pleasant to talk and gave prizes and awards on Friday and the whole place cheers and claps for each other all the time. Training was the best. they have a lot to leanr but its made hands on. I look forward to finish the training and moving up.

I had an  unfortunate pleasure of working for this company for 2 months and it's safe to say this was one of the worst class centres I have ever been in. High turn over rate, people lucky to last even a 2 weeks out of training, some even left during training as the job described to multiple people during the interview was not even close to what it actually was. The manager tries to get employees to put positive review's in order to attract talent however it is easily seen through. No coaching or support after training. This place to thrive needs a serious overhale .  

It’s a good experience and great for your development. 

a typical day at work is busy but enjoyable especially because there are always fun contests and prizes. You learn a lot about finance and customer service. Management is good and makes you feel valued
workplace culture is good. The hardest part of the job is difficult customers and the most enjoyable part of the job is the coworkers and managers make you feel at home. It's also nice to help some people get loans for emergencies.

Advice to Management
Keep doing what you are doing and keep listening to employees! The business and what is coming is so exciting and I am really happy to be part of it.

If you are new
Extremely fast paced company. This personally for me and many others, is great and suits our working styles. If you would prefer somewhere where you can stand around a coffee machine most of the day it may be difficult to fit-in, to adapt and you won't see promotions.
