Pizzeria Libretto

Start the day with prep. Morning shifts are prep heavy, Dinner less so depending on morning staff. Go crazy making pizzas. Was scheduled evening shifts Thursday - Sunday so mostly made pizzas non-stop.

Learned how to stretch dough and cook in a pizza oven. Prep was nothing special.

Management was not bad, but strong staff carried the day.

Workplace suited me well. I work best with serious staff.

Hardest part of the job was working with 1-2 unreasonably bad cooks. I can clear tickets and prep much faster by myself. Please send them home or away from my working area chef.

Enjoyable: making + eating pizza. 

Do yourself a favour: don't work here. Hectic work load, you are on your own, min pay,  $0.3/hr tipout. You can get any job better than here. The owners treat you like stealers (pops), like giving you an annual pay increase of $0.25/hr a good deal that you don't want to miss. They advertise that they promoted from inside because I think they can't find any body to work at dirt cheap pay! Only good thing about here I can think about was all the free pizza you can eat.

From my first day at Pizzeria Libretto I felt welcomed by a very knowledgable and friendly team. Although hectic at times, someone was always there to lend a helping hand if needed. Management was kind and made sure my shifts went smoothly. Overall, it was an amazing experience working for Pizzeria Libretto alongside a very welcoming team! Unfortunately I had to leave because of school, but I would definitely recommened Pizzeria Libretto as a place to work at!

Only worked there a couple of months. Was never properly trained because it was very disorganized. This, of course, was all blamed on me. The managers were constantly on my back and blamed me for things I didn't know because nobody every told me. It was always chaotic, we were always behind. Servers are treated better than all other staff. Support staff were promised promotions they were never given. This job was exhausting with little pay.

Libretto is a fun and well run company that excels in all aspects of service. They prioritize training and giving opportunities to those who seek it. From my days as a support staff to the weeks where I would fill in for the duties of the GM; I always felt set up for success and always had the support I needed.

I was lucky to have been given a chance with Libretto at every level. From my early days as a support staff to my last year in Management; Libretto was always willing to put the time into me. The culture is positive, the people are incredible and the food is something that will bring me back for years to come.

Pretty much sums it up. But expect to work hard and work long hours. It a kitchen so it’s expected. The management is great but sometimes very disorganized. This is a good environment to learn and gain experience but not something you can do long term. The pay need a to be better for all the work you put in and good workers need to appreciated more. 

Management has felt stretched too thin for a while now. Senior management is consistently dismissive with concerns - tips come late, changes aren’t made clear until it’s to late. They act like you’re a child for bringing it up. Idk if they’re feeling the pressure from O&B but the power trips  are getting ridiculous. Otherwise the team is great, and I like the people I usually work with. 

Best place i’ve worked in my entire life, the team treats you like you’re part of a family! 
Everyone that works there is so nice and respectful, if you need help with anything and someone can clearly see it they’ll definitely help you if it’s mot that busy! I dont know much more to tell about but it’s a dream job and only experiencing to understand what im talking about!

Management is dismissive of real issues and there is a lack of diversity in management positions, little motivation for growth. The hours are long and there is little opportunity for wage increases. A stressful environment and a company culture that is artificially positive, staff is not appreciated and overworked.
