Office staff really don't have any experience on site and their attitudes towards the field staff reflect that, they're constantly demanding more and more. Longer term carpenters are often expected to fill lead hand roles without any kind of compensation for the extra duties. The safety culture is good and the safety record speaks for itself, the current safety manager is very personable and willing to discuss questions and concerns with the boots on the ground the same cannot be said for most other office staff who show up on site. Crew moral varies drastically from superintendent to superintendent as some are knowledgeable and friendly, bringing the best out of their guys; others however couldn't care less about their crews or the moral on site. Wages are stagnated  lately and haven't kept up with pre pandemic rates. Apprentices are generally treated well provided you go with the flow and are a fairly quick learner. 

Quorex is a really good place to work and has treated me well. I have gone up from a labourer to apprenticeship and to become a journeyman. Most people that work here have moved up within the company and many long term employees. They are always promoting within and lots of mentor ship. Many people I have worked with are now Superintendents in the company that started as apprentices. If you work hard and do your job then you will never have a issue and will always have a job.  The new leadership group wants you to do well. Most people here are 5 to 10 year people. 

A company that depending on the supervisor will put the job first or the person first. It was a good place to work, but the office staff do not understand the amount of work that the people on site have to go through to get the job done. Sometimes pushing too hard on the workers and not enough work done on the office end of things. Some supervisors are great, and will be life long friends. But there are others that don't care who you are or what you do.

there was no safety precautions that took place .thats all i can say other that i enjoyed working with the crew. my boss was cool but OH&S was never informed about all the near misses where people could have died

a typical day consists of morning safety, job delegation. you will learn anything from concrete work to cabinets and finishing, lots of good managers in this company.

Quorex Construction is a good place to work as a labourer or apprentice. With positive people make for a positive work environment and Quorex has done a great job of creating a positive environment with great safety incentives.

Loved the company, everyone child in together and let's you get on with your work and you are not micromanaged. Everyone was always helpful and kind and always there for you

they'll hire you as an apprentice and as soon as you finish a level of training they lay you off so they dont have to give you a raise.. then their someone who less financially valuable.

we all worked together for years so we just made jokes and got along well which made for higher productivity, we had barbecues every Friday for lunches
