What is the best part of working at the company?
I was a nursing clinical instructor. The best part of the job was the ability to work intimately with students in the clinical setting. The opportunity to influence and share knowledge of nursing care. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Direct supervisor was very threatened by my 33 years of industry experience and knowledge. Taking immediate offens to my input of industry knowledge and my ability to function autonomously. False statements about my abilities were shared with the Chair of Nusing consequently ending my career in this field. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Unprofessional, extremely competitive and malicious behaviour. There is a high turnover of staff due to the toxic environment. Individuals seem threatened by practitioners that have industry experience and knowledge. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Although the job description calls for autonomy and critical thinking, the supervisor felt threatened and undermined when I solved minor issues independent from consultation with her. 
I was reprimanded for simple problem solving, criticized for my evaluations and forced to change them to pass student who demonstrated they were not competent.

Security Services never closed - we were on duty 24/7.  We rotated 12 hour shifts with two weeks on days and two weeks on nights.  The officers on our teams were our brothers/sisters.  The college staff were happy to see us and often sought us out for advice and help.  
When I left, there was a large shift in management happening, but everyone seemed to take it in stride.  Management was always easy to approach and open to suggestions.
The hardest part of the job was having to investigate staff and act like nothing was happening.
The most enjoyable part of the job was helping the staff and students - when someone needed a vehicle boosted, when we helped someone locate a lost item, when we could mediate a dispute to the satisfaction of all involved - those were the most enjoyable parts of the job.

It is a very good place to work as everyday is new with new topics to discuss and transfer to the students. The Colleague discussion also demands to know everything that one talks about and hence a good motivation to know and master what we discuss. specially if the audience are from outside the college, preparing to make the information understandable by non-student audience is a great motivation. 

As the payment is also competitive, it is good to focus on the job rather than complaining and demanding to raise and related things.

I worked for Red River College as a term employee for 5 years, I was released from my term just before I reached the mark of becoming full time. 
This year they decided to terminate my term post two new term jobs, I got and went through the interview process and was told I did not meet the point criteria for the position so they went and hired two external applicants over the person who dedicated his time to better the college grounds for 5 years. A person who is qualified and is already familiar with all aspect of the job.

I was told I would get employment over and over and it never happened. My performance at the college was more than exceptional and I strived for better all the time. 

I am not happy with the way I was treated at Red River College.

a typical day at work is manage staff assign duties and clean college with ride-on equipment. 
what I learned was how to use ride-on sweepers and ride-on washers and other cleaning equipment
a good place to work people and other staff were good to me and also did not see other staff maybe every other month
the hardest part of the job was teaching new staff how to use new equipment and teaching them the area where they will be working it was usually several days for them  to get used to 
the most enjoyable part of the job was working with ride-on machines and working alone

Well,started working as a tutor at Red River College.
The most important part of this job is sharing of your knowledge and skills with the interested students.I also learned how to spare time for tutoring from your busy schedule at school.There is no such hard time i have ever experienced while working at this place as i believe nothing is impossible if you give your full contribution to the job which you are doing.I enjoy each and every smart questions asked by the students as it shows me that students are really getting in what i am teaching.

Management at this organization exhibited an extremely toxic and manipulative behavior, which left a lasting negative impression. The blatant favoritism that was prevalent throughout the security department was truly astonishing. It seemed as though the HR department had little to no oversight over the security department, allowing them to consistently bend and break the rules without consequence. Although the compensation was good, it came at a significant expense to one's mental well-being. Fortunately, I am relieved to have retired and put this experience behind me.

I’m about to finish my second term working as a remote instructor, and I can confidently say that these past few months have been very rewarding for me. Personally, I really enjoy the educational environment, and this institution takes great care of us as employees. The staff organization is excellent, and they are always looking for ways to improve learning and provide training opportunities. Simply put, this is one of the best work environments I’ve ever been a part of.

Our day typically went as follows:
1. Arrive before 8
2. Meet to discuss what was done and needs to be done
3. Develop what needs to be finished by the day
4. Find anything that needs improving on and either improve it or keep it to talk about in next standup meeting
5. Go home at 4 or later

There was something to do everyday and progress advanced fairly quickly. Management was always on point and made sure that everything is kept under control.

The lead of the athletic department was never really in tune with his athletes. It was more about his growth career wise then it was about the programs and sporting events getting better. As a specialized job the pay was not congruent to what was needed for athletes at the college and the facilities and equipment are far outdated. Red river has the student base and technology to be a front runner in academics and athletics but puts very little value in growing at this point.
