I had a great time working here pre-covid. My manager was lovely and the pay and shifts were great. Post-covid the management was very stressed out and lots of in fighting. Also very hard to work for a scientific organization under a conservative government that kept cutting budget left and right.

Decolonizing western perspectives about Plains Cree culture is long overdue. 

My PhD studies will reflect this perspective- decolonizing. 

Pains Cree are viewed as coming with the fur-trade from eastern Canada. 

There are many misconceptions about First Nations history.

received positive mentoring and guidance on business proposals, professional contacts, etc.

Built ongoing professional relationships with mentors, who provide coaching and advice.

I enjoy working at the Royal Alberta Museum. We are treated with respect and expected to treat others with the same consideration. There is a positive work culture that encourages personal responsibility, personal growth and accountability to others on your team.

Amazingly smart and interesting people, lots of interesting challenges,  my favorite job so far! Rich cultural learning, focus on reconciliation. Alberta's premier historical/cultural/quarternary institution 

Loved working in events and seeing a lot of culture government and local groups.

Enjoyed the people and the experience working with non profits, government and associations.


The typical day at work included communicating with clients and assisting them with questions or unexpected needs. 
Not a labour intensive job, very easy going with great management with flexible hours.

See objects and move objects you will never do or see in your life time.

Its never boring always moving.

Great work and life balance. I love the people I work with and am challenged on a daily basis. I have had the rare opportunity to work with people across the globe and learn about new cultures.

I volunteered in the Botany department. It was an excellent learning experience under the tutelage of learned and highly experienced individuals. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there.
