The Derrick Golf and Winter Club

A typical day at work started with me taking the safe out, and counting the float.Then i would make sure that everything was tidy, restocked, and available for all costumers. I would take orders serve food and clean up threw out the day.
I learned that i can work well alone and within a team. I worked 4 out of 5 days alone for 8 hour shifts each week, i think that that has been one the the more difficult things i have been asked to do at this job.I know i am capable of working alone, but i much rather work with a team of people.
The management was good, but could have been better in helping with situations that needed there attention.
The most enjoyable part of working at the Derrick would be the kitchen staff. They were extremely kind people that i loved to be around.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Its organization, good welcoming setting, clean and well-organized rooms and environment, friendly staff and co-workers, accessible and family-friendly recreation.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
I did'nt see anything stressful so far.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The company is practicing  inclusivity and diversity.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Morning is quite good and not much people, all is organized and systematic procedure of work setting.

Insane hours, poor training, management sucks and a lot of aspects about it suck. The pay is probably the only decent thing, and I got along pretty well with some of my coworkers and some of the members are awesome as well. Overall, I think they overwork their employees honestly and the management doesn't care a lot about their employees. We don't get much support. Hours suck once again and the training isn't good. It's also a pretty gossipy environment, which isn't my forte. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Good people, good place, very good working environment

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Not that much, but if I have to say one thing maybe not finishing your cleaning on time 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very good working condition, very nice culture to work with 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Relax to work with , no pressure at all

I thoroughly enjoyed my time working alongside the turf team. Management is always understanding and willing to work with your schedule. They also clearly put thought into who they hire because the crew is equally as great to work with. It’s hard to find a job that’ll top my experience at The Derrick.

Wonderful training opportunities. I did my entire apprenticeship program at the Derrick. Prepared me extremely well for the challenges, opportunities, versatility, and rewards of the Food and Beverage industry.

Allowed me to gain experience and make money during my younger years over the summer. Great staff, easy going and entertaining summer job I'd recommend to anyone.

Great place to work.  Was part of the team for almost two years and miss it.  Management will listen and help with what is needed.  Would and have recommeded people I know to give it a try.

Had a good Management Group everyone worked with a smile, I enjoyed working there friendly staff, nice the clients were easy deal with as long as we were doing our jobs well.

Working here was a blast. My manager was fantastic, getting shifts covered was easy, and duties were straightforward and simple. Sometimes had the odd unruly customer, otherwise great atmosphere!
