I didn’t want to believe them, but sadly, the other 1-star reviews for the Service Coordinator role on this website are accurate. At some point, this company has to realize that they are the problem. 

The expectations and workload are completely ridiculous, and to top it off, they pay you a pathetic salary for all the work they want out of you. They will squeeze everything out of you and then tell you that you’re not good enough. I was expected to cover off someone else’s holiday and personal leave after not even 3 months on the job. I put in a lot of overtime and had to answer many calls outside of business hours. Job posting and interview never mentioned having to carry around a work phone/answer and make calls outside of business hours. 

Work environment is very unprofessional with a lot of chitchat that is distracting. The office team is very small and are too comfortable with each other to the point of being unprofessional. 

Do not work here if you value your mental health, work life balance, and sanity. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
I am happy working there. Working there encourage me to become more responsible and dedicated. Company culture is very positive and enriching. It is an ideal example of values and beliefs. It made me grow in myself and developed my skills. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Technically speaking mornings are bit stressful but overall it is nice to be there.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Values,belief’s and ethics. While perks and benefits are certainly great to have, and can help employees to feel supported and appreciated, they merely sit on the surface. A great corporate culture goes much deeper: It involves open communication, mutual respect, shared goals, and a commitment to employee growth and development.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
It is average and stress free days at the company.

What is the best part of working at the company?
When your day finishes and you walk out the front door. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Lack of managerial support. A lot of internal backstabbing.  Double standards. Personal and family relations to others in the branch and company.  

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The environment and culture depends on the branch. My experience was dry lacked any culture. In fact, it was almost toxic.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Regarding coming into the office in the morning. Being overloaded, underpaid, and completing the same task multiple times in different programs.  Lack of technicians, training and product availability.

This is probably the first job I've had in a while where I feel noticed, heard and supported. Some of the management team is not my cup of tea, professionally, but in terms of my manager, I feel supported, I feel educated, and I know their office and they are a safe space for everything work related, and then some. I got a lot of training and it continues now a year later. I actually learn something new every day.
The company values are great, the company and work environment are great. I don't fault a company for a few employees or team members not being my type of people or superior, but Troy LFS seems to be doing it right, especially with how they treat us.

I joined the Troy team over a year ago now and have been thankful for making the move ever since! Troy is company that values it's employees, providing opportunity for advancement, schedules that allow for work-life balance, and a fair compensation package with an RRSP matching program I personally love! Members of the management team, including senior management, take the time to get to know their support staff and communicate with them on a regular basis. 

I look forward to continuing to work and develop my career with Troy Team for many years to come!

Committed to their customers. Go above and beyond to ensure their clients have the ultimate safety solutions in place.

Making sure that customers fully understood the ramifications of NOT upholding their end of the life and safety mandate.

Team oriented and collaborative.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Satisfying, knowing I was helping our clients and supporting their life safety requirements.

The working staff is great mostly hard working

No leadership upper management/territory Managers only worries about themselves 
You are only there to make them their bonuses

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Work environment is becoming very “Corporate” 
Share holders are getting record profits year over year and expect unrealistic goals 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
It is a 8:30-4:30 job hours were great extra always expected if you were salary employee

If I could give them a 0 I would. 

You will be severely underpaid, management uses excuses and bullying to get you to believe them, you can work your hardest and management will actually question if you do work, where other members of the team can be on social media all day and never get in trouble. Upper management will never be on your side and will always back up your manager. 

You will have no safe place to bring up issues that are happening because head office doesn’t care either. The langley branch has lost all their good workers and no one has done anything about why they left. 

Working at Troy was very enjoyable. The people were welcoming and fun to work with. There was a good balance between work and life. If there was ever a time that you needed to attend a doctors appointment or any other appointment, they understood and encouraged it. A typical day consisted of me answering phones, opening mail, preparing purchase orders, ordering office supplies, and helping coworkers. The most enjoyable part of the job was the humor and relaxed atmosphere that was created while working at Troy Life & Fire Safety.

All I can say is don’t work here. The benefits they have are ok but you DO NOT make the money you should. You can work your butt off and show them you are an asset but you will never move anywhere. They will pretend to listen to your ideas but they won’t go with any. 

Certain managers are not nice and will use scare tactics to keep you in line. If you aren’t on their good side they will listen to others so no matter what you say to show the truth it won’t be listened to. 

I would recommend looking elsewhere because there are many companies that will treat you right!
