I worked at Ultra for a few months back in 2020, in the battery shop. I sadly had to leave due to my health. They tried everything (I mean everything) to accommodate me, and I had never had that before in my life and I really appreciated it. It just came down to my own issues, and would go back in a heart beat for a different position.

Not sure what the pay is now, but if its what it was when I left, it wouldn't be enough to get by where I currently live. But at the time it was though. And knowing them, it has probably been raised now, they treat people very well from what I saw.

Management was always friendly, helpful (one even drove me to the hospital twice), they were understanding of bad weather, distance, etc. Treated people very fair.

Benefits were also really good from the contract I read over and what I was told from others. There is room for growth within the company if you show initiative as well. I have known a couple people who have worked there over the years and had nothing bad to say.

A confusing start, lost in emails ownership changed  before I started;!and when i was being hired, they lost me for a while. Discussions started in November 2022, and start date was February 2023. Friendly although time spent could have been greatly minimized. 

The people you work with are some of the most kind, and professional people you will ever meet. The people on the floor make the place. There is a union there, I can see why now. 

Direction is lacking but they are aware of it, that is from the top down; and they are trying to get it better. 
Training started ok but started lacking support quickly,Being left in a training room for two weeks with no hardware to work on, and we did request more parts, and you jump to anyone who comes in to the room for guidance. 

A learning experience of both good and forgettable, but again the staff and supervisors make it enjoyable.  





Until the very end Ultra electronics/Telemus was my favorite place to work. Mostly because of the work, but I include most of the people there who were very nice and got along together (or at least, with me) and the working team sense of closeness and cooperation was the best I've seen anywhere. I learned many RF trade secrets from my mentors there, who were all very intelligent, and even though the hours were sometimes demanding, the rewards and respect from coworkers were well worth it. I'd go back there if I could, but no company that lays off people should contact them again, in my opinion.

everyday started with a good morning, most days were brain stroming with my co-worker. management sometimes lack communication with production line .the most enjoyable part of the day was the laughter share between co-workers and the hardest was getting lay off

Enjoyed working at Ultra because I helped out in many different areas. I was a good asset
Got some experience with new equipment such as a HeatLine rework station that I re-assembled and made available for engineering. It now works great and being used by myself and others.
Worked well with others. Co-workers were nice to work with on a daily basis.
Did not due the same work all the time which is nice.

Prior to my time, the company was doing amazingly well.    Some attempts to unify the many disparate BUs (OneUltra) looked good on the website, but was in reality a very difficult problem to solve.   Now that it is in the hands of private equity, the culture changed dramatically and turnover has been high.    I hope it turns the corner as it has potential to be a juggernaut.  

Great place to work, the wage is a little low for me, but the support of this company to its employees is great. They have a great benefit package, the lay offs have been longer than I have expected and has left me with no alternative financially but to seek other employment.

I was a PCB designer that worked on many projects during my time there. The people was a pleasure to work with and for, but management was a little lacking as they were only saving their own positions. The company itself was only concerned with keeping their shareholders happy and treated your employees with no respect.

Most of people greet you every morning. But when it comes to a job. If something wrong with the parts they will think it is your fault. Yes they have free bagel every tuesday. Free fruits as well. Also they will think you dont communicate with your team leader. 

I quite enjoyed working there, but can definitely see where they have had a decent turn over rate for technicians. 
Issues on both sides (management and my own) resulted in my discontinued employment.
The union environment was both a blessing and a curse.
