Learn to co-exist in a good way. Many staff members and people come and go every year, you  learn to adapt and cherish every moment enjoyable. Pretty fair and even job through out, an committed person can do it. It involves taking care of books, sorting and re shelving them. Stand by the counter for visitors and assist them with several requests.

I worked in many departments at the University of New Brunswick.
I learned many things about students and faculty as well.
My co-workers were always helpful and informed of policies and procedures of the University.
The hardest part of the job was scheduling professors' work times.
The most enjoyable part of the job was meeting students from all walks of life and learning things about their cultures.

UNB offered flexible employment while I finished my degree.  

It was a great opportunity to build on my office skills and meet lots of interesting people.

I enjoyed putting the legal research skills I had developed in studies to use for professors within the faculty of law.

Pros

Cons
- Increasing tuition which already high on a yearly basis while funding for graduate students are not increasing

Management is very available and understanding.  Workplace is fun and engaging.  Good training is provided and the job is not difficult. Evening shifts can be challenging if you are not used to working until midnight. Pay if fair for the job requirements.

It is a very innovative university with collaborative work culture and has dynamic leaders and professionals. Work at the university was also professionally enriching and enhances learning. However, my job was as a student and part-time, so I need to look for a full-time job.

Working as a TA is mostly about working at your own pace and meeting deadlines set by professors; some professors have better scheduling than others and you have a ton of time to grade assignments and labs, while others...  not so much.

Very supportive and helpful information about how can I join them and what is the training looks like. They talk about the process of onboarding new people. Explain any question that I had with detailed answers

Dishwasher at cafeteria dishwashing on a regular basis. Cleanings tables, serving hungry students. Get free food, maintaining kitchens, cleaning utensils, mopping floors, placing utensils in the right racks.
