I have been working there for the past year, and I must say that the experience has been a mixture of positives and negatives. On one hand, the company offers some fantastic benefits that are hard to match elsewhere. However, on the other hand, I find myself struggling with motivation due to certain aspects of the job.

Let's start with the positive aspects: the benefits package provided is undoubtedly one of the best I've seen. The health insurance coverage is comprehensive, and they offer a generous retirement plan with a matching contribution, which is a great long-term incentive. Additionally, the flexible working hours and remote work options have been a game-changer, especially during the pandemic, allowing for a better work-life balance.

The company also invests in employee development, providing various training opportunities and workshops, which have helped me enhance my skill set and advance in my career. Moreover, the team members are generally supportive and collaborative, creating a pleasant work environment.

However, while the benefits are excellent, I can't help but feel that the nature of the job itself can be demotivating at times. The day-to-day tasks can become repetitive and lack the challenge needed to keep me fully engaged. The absence of clear career advancement opportunities within the company has also contributed to a sense of stagnation.

Furthermore, the lack of recognition for hard work and achievements is somewhat disheartening. Although the company promotes teamwork, individual efforts often go unnoticed or unrewarded, leading to a decreased sense of enthusiasm and dedication.

Another aspect that has affected my motivation is the limited autonomy and decision-making power within my role. It often feels like we are micromanaged, which can be frustrating and stifling to one's creativity and sense of ownership.

In summary, while the employer undoubtedly excels in providing outstanding benefits and maintaining a supportive work environment, the nature of the job can be less than motivating. I believe that fostering a more challenging and dynamic work environment, along with improved recognition and autonomy, would go a long way in boosting employee morale and overall job satisfaction.

Hard days work. Long walks in rough terrain. Measuring trees all day long. I learned to identify different types of trees, leaves and plants. The hardest part of the job was the heat and the long walks. However, it was also part the most enjoyable part of it, because we would enjoy the nature.

Definitively francophone university. 
Research funding are tough to get.
For graduate, being an English speaking people is not a problem.
Some buildings would need a refresh.

Working at Université Laval has been an enriching professional and personal experience. The university offers a really good environment characterized by collaboration, respect, and intellectual freedom. Colleagues and supervisors are supportive and open-minded, which fosters creativity and teamwork.

A good and high level university with a lot of possibilities for studying in engineering and other fields. 
I suggest this University specially for chemical engineers, civil engineers, and health care students

Alluminium industry (Alcoa)
Polymer production (Husky injection molding systems)
Oil and gas companies (Schlumberger, Trican, Junex)

One day a week there was a meeting to see the progression on every task.

It was a good experience, we were a good team.

Every week we had to make a presentation about how the character will look like, how it will be animated and how the rig will be done to ensure the work for the animator will go well.

I worked there as a researcher for two years.
The staffs are really helpful.
You need to know French to be able to communicate with your colleagues.
The city is amazing.

UL has very beautiful campus with good  facilities and different activities for students and staffs. All staffs are really nice and helpful. But there is not much to do for english-speakers students and it can be different between faculties.
