For the past 4 years working with Viva, I've been given with opportunities to grow within the organization. I began as a sales assistant/coordinator when I first started and am now helping to supervise the whole sales team. 
What truly makes Viva a great company to work in as it's a fun and collaborative workplace yet some individuals may find it challenging as it my role requires me to interface across many different parts of the organization each day, while I see this as for improving my skills on coordination, organization, and multitasking. A fantastic sales department with a lot of great personalities and wonderfully driven sales reps whose motivation can be inspirational.
I feel extremely lucky to have been given the opportunity by Viva to turn this into a career.

A typical day at work involves handling multiple responsibilities across different areas, often requiring one person to cover tasks that would normally be shared among several roles. While this can help build adaptability, it can also be physically and mentally demanding over time.

There is limited formal training provided, so most employees are expected to learn on the job. This may be manageable for experienced workers, but it can be difficult for new hires who need clearer guidance and structured onboarding.

The company appears to operate in a close-knit management style, where decision-making is centralized. Communication and processes can sometimes feel unclear, especially when responsibilities overlap.

Compensation may not fully reflect the workload and expectations in some roles. The hardest part of the job is balancing multiple tasks with limited support. The most enjoyable part is working with coworkers who try to support each other in a fast-paced environment.

It is a family owned company. A typical day at work would be being closely and micromanaging by the family. I learned not to apply for family-own company because everything is in chao. Producing repeated products like new products everytime because no one knows/records the detailed parameters for mass production resulting in inconsistant quality. Heard they said someone experienced left and thus they don't know how to produce anymore. We have no toilet break and got threaten for reducing salary for >5 mins toilet as a result most of us don't take off the cloth- and shoe- cover  for washroom and basically wear same shoe cover into toilet and production area because we don't have time to change it.

Worked here as the first job in Canada. As someone coming from foreign country, getting a job in original professional is exceptional difficult. After a long search for job, I was offered a position in their IT Department. 

Even though it is not the same job level (I was a IT Manager prior coming to Canada), but still it gave me an opportunity to ramp up my Canada Experience. This eventually leads me to other exciting opportunities in Canada.

The company is a family business but management is willing to listen, earger to learn and adapt. Work is not stressful and justified by it's pay.  Worth a while overall

Viva Pharmaceutical allowed me to understand a side of employment hunting that I had not experienced in the past. The company provides a lot of opportunities for fresh graduates and all employees, it is a great place for you to grow and develop. A typical day at work would include: Job Posting, Interview and Screen candidates to see if they meet the requirements of the job, and also hiring the candidates. I learned how to ask the right questions and how to hire the right candidate. The workplace is definitely enjoyable and my colleagues were extremely helpful to me.

answering the phone call. handling in and out courier and mail. Checking email and arrange shipment and supporting administration work. It's a good way to start a full time job as administrator. Through talking over the phone and to the visitors, I can gain more experience. My instructor is very nice and taught me very patiently.  Whenever I had questions or difficulty, she taught me or guide me how to do. 

As a fresh graduate I think you’ll be able to learn quite a lot from this company. Regardless of the pay, it is worth the new experience to improve your resume. Every company has its pros and cons, so there really isn’t any faults to blame here. Since it’s more Chinese cultured, some people may not be used to that kind of environment. Looking at it on the positive side, it’s a place you can still gain knowledge from.

'Hire & Fire' company culture makes it difficult to fully contribute and demonstrate one's skills. 

Several organizational challenges, including ineffective delegation of tasks, favoritism in project assignments, unclear communication practices, and an overall lack of clear vision and direction from leadership.

I really don't recommend working at a place surrounding by people that make you feel worthless and not respected. As a production worker, we work so hard for this company but they don't value your work at all. The management team thinks everyone is replaceable and they treat people badly.
