The 6 years I worked for WRE as a full time cleaner, I had  benefits, an RRSP, a life insurance policy (these are all mandatory when you work for WRE) 
My position was a live in position as the building cleaner. I paid rent like everybody else, by my last couple years there, after rent deducted, I’d bring home roughly $800 a month for bills, groceries, etc. 
The job feels secure as long as you are doing good at your job. If you start slacking off or start missing things, they will notice as they usually do weekly walk through of the buildings. Very nice managers, property managers, and owners. 
Only downside to the job is you don’t much of an outside life as there is a lot of on call evenings. Personally for me, I was on call every 2nd weekend, and 1 day through the week. I couldn’t go and try out for football as the football training and games would conflict with the on call schedule. Wasn’t able to get a second job due to my on call schedule, as places turned me away and that was their reasoning. I didn’t want to be that worker that had to keep asking people to trade nights with me, so I just accepted that I can’t do those things at this time. 

But overall, it is a great company to work for, you get paid fairly, and it’s a great work environment. After being there for 6 years, my boss and the tenants in the building feel like family. 

Inspect suites that were about to be vacated and document any damages; as well as inspect suites that had been cleaned and insure they were ready for new tenants.  Do a walk through of each building (2 - 25 storey buildings, 1 - 15 storey building) and document any problems.  Deal with tenants that were overdue with rent.  Schedule and order supplies &/or work with contractors.
Dealing with tenants from all over the world, I have a greater knowledge of different cultures.
Upper management was very supportive and I strived to keep the same culture for my direct reports.
The team (office staff, housekeeping and maintenance) were a cohesive group that enjoyed and were proud of their input.
The hardest part of the job was issuing eviction notices.
The most enjoyable part of the job was meeting people from different cultures and walks of life.

While yes this was one of the most stressful jobs I have ever had, I liked it. To be able to run all of Calgary meant a lot to me. I wish it meant the same to head office.
WRE are and will always think about themselves and the almighty dollar, but never their employees.
They have one employee (Marg) that reports everything and if you don't get along with her you don't have a job for very long.

A good place to pick up job skills ..
Management is hard to work with by placing unrealistic timelines,on you  Your are expected to work overtime but will not be paid for it
The benefits are not the best.
The best part of the job are your fellow employees as they will help you as much as possible

The company gave us a chance to gain experience in the Canadian Job Market and to learn some skills.
The fact that I had to clean 4 buildings helped me to learn how to manage my work time, and gave me the chance to balance work with private life.
I was all the time on the go, which helped me to maintain my physical abilities.

Could be a great position with policy and process in place. Poor management makes it difficult to run the properties. The GM intrudes on all aspects and managers are not allowed to manage.

At W.R.E I learned a lot about Tenant Relations, and about showing/viewing apartments to the public. I enjoyed all my co-workers, as they worked hard and were very nice. The hardest part of the job was getting everything done on time.

The people you meet and the interactions with trades .

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Difficult tenants, keeping tenants them happy and collecting rents .

go in to the office answer phones dealing with problem tenants doing showing, posting notice ,deliver notices dealing with maintaince co-workers are great, no part of my job is hard the most enjoyable part of my job is rent out the other suite

They pay minimum wage and expect just 1 cleaner in a 25floor apartment  building to clean common areas,move outs ,walls.The management did not even leave their offices and expected impossible deadlines
