Working at Waterloo Garage Doors has been a rewarding experience so far. Although I started this position without knowing anything about garage doors (I couldn’t have explained the difference between a spring and a roller), the owners are extremely knowledgeable and are happy to teach you on the job.

Since Waterloo Garage Doors is a growing organization, there are many opportunities to build your breadth and depth of skills and experiences. I’ve thrived in having more responsibility and authority to do my job while being supported with daily check-ins to discuss ideas, questions, and status updates on projects I’m working on. I feel like I’m more than just a number and that my work is making a difference.

Not sure who is giving the positive reviews! But terrible place. Worst by far that I've been at. 
The owners loved to pick fights, not only with staff, but eachother and even customers! Literally I saw a fist fight!!! 

- Walk on egg shells is the best term I could use here. 
- Don't ask for help, you will be made to look a fool
- They do like to flaunt they are better than you!
- Offering ANY changes to make things better will result in you 
   again made you to be felt undervalued 

Funny with the positive reviews, if they were SO amazing, why aren't those positive people there any longer?

The owners are two of the worst people you will ever meet in your life.  I dont believe any of the positive reviews on here are genuine.  They are such slave drivers that everyone is constantly running around worried they will be fired if their feet arent moving.  The work is thankless and the owners are rich and expect everyone to pay their bills.  There is actually a social club of like 20 people who use to work here and they meet for drinks just based on the fact that they went through the Waterloo Garage Doors treatment.  Enjoy!

WGD is a great company to work for. One of my favourite jobs, hands down. The owners treat you like part of the family with the utmost respect. The whole team works great together with a ton of laughs along the the way. I worked in the office and was provided all the tools needed to start my own success. The company pays your benefits, yearly bonus, free lunches, and competitive wages. They also give you ample opportunity for overtime. So if you are ready to get some hours in & eager to learn lots about all aspects of the company, WGD is the place for you!

You will find Waterloo to be a fast paced challenging workplace, those who like to succeed and get ahead will find this the perfect environment. When you do well its clearly noticed. Those who try to get by with doing as little as possible are the only ones I've seen not stick around. Here the owners will work as hard or harder than you which is so refreshing!

Its a family run business so you always have people who care and understand on a personal level. Also the coolest showroom I have ever seen!

The old owners had way more of a hart for the staff

Have people  in charge  that couldn't do your job. But want to tell you how to do it.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Staff are OK but management  needs a drink at lunch to stop the studers. Then it's your fault for not understanding.

You can feel the sense of community and genuine care for employees in this workplace. I am thankful for the opportunities to learn and grow and am amazed by the owners passion and continued expertise. There were always opportunities for me to learn from others, time to improve in my role and I always felt supported by my co-workers. A family owned company is the best way to describe this place — I believe once you are there you will be amazed by the level of support!! 

This working environment was rocky. The owners are rude and seem run down and restless which makes their interactions with (most) staff short and unpleaseant. They treat (most) employees like slaves with little to no training provided. There is a reason the same job postings go up monthly  (if they are lucky -every two months) they can't keep staff! Let's be honest about this company! Two thumbs down!

The owners are not that nice as some of these fake reviews state.   They argue with each other making people feel uncomfortable.   They snub you if you dont't fit in with their culture.   Training sucks as you are expected to know it all within a few weeks.  There is a reason you hear radio ads looking to hire at WGD.

Staff are bery friendly at waterloo garage doors. The general feel is very professional but staff will crack jokes with each other from time to time. Owners are top tier, very competitive and hard working.
