I was hired this past June and worked the summer as a server, bartender, bev cart girl, and halfway hut. 
- The hours are great, and management if super flexible with scheduling. 
- The serving team is small but large enough to get shifts covered if needed. Having a small serving team is almost ideal because its easier to work with a small team that is able to work cohesively rather than a clustered mess of employees which i have had in the past.
- I absolutely loved going to work every single day and am sad that the golf season is ending soon.
- I had already had basic bartending knowledge, but i am leaving being a highly trained bartender in beer, wine, liquor and some handcrafted cocktail knowledge. 
-The workplace culture is amazing because its like a mini family.
- The hardest part of the job is probably trying to find a member on the golf course to drop off beer but being unable to find them; and honestly its not even that bad. A lot of the members are very understanding and are happy whenever they see you coming around the corner whether it be on the bev cart or in the dining room. 
- The most enjoyable part of the job would be working events, such as weddings, wing night on fridays, anniversarys, member dinners or bridge night.
- To follow another enjoyable part of the job is that the Chef for the golf club is really nice and always has something cool to talk about so you know your never gonna be bored at work. 
I highly recommend working here and maybe we'll meet in summer 2019!

Great summer job for students who love golf and want to see behind the scenes of irrigation and maintenance. Challenges motivation and encourages a good habit of self-reliance, as you have to wake up at 4 a.m. to start your early morning shifts. 

The golf course is beautiful and the staff are friendly and appreciative. 

Management is friendly and eager for projects to be done, ask questions and complete tasks as required. Teamwork is encouraged and you can order food from the incredible restaurant for your lunch breaks.

It's repetitive work. The pay could be WAY better for grounds crew. We make the golf course look beautiful, so we should be incentivized with better pay.

Did I say FREE GOLF?
Only on some select days however. Booking a tee time as an employee can be difficult, as tournaments and leagues are played everyday.  

Overall a good enough experience. Tips limited to 15% which wasn’t much considering tip outs to kitchen. this could be fixed by offering a higher base pay to servers. One would certainly make more money at most other restaurants or some other golf courses especially compared to what servers made at Windermere House.   Most people who worked there were good to work with.  A bit of a “dude” culture that could use some refining.  Events were well organized but could be very tiring as one was required to be there for 10-13 hours. Lovely to work in such a beautiful natural landscape.

the members, are rude and all look down at the employees

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
everyone is trying to do the best they can however some of the members don’t see that

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
very laid back everyone has a job to do however some of the members just make it miserable

I grew up with the owners and staff so the atmosphere is really great. Wing night gets a little crazy but the regulars (locals) make it all better. Learn the members names you can make some great connections at this job! Insider tip volunteer to work the hut. There's no wifi and a little slow but that's where you get the best tips.

Not a place where you want to put in extra effort because your generosity will be taken advantage of. Broken equipment and favouritism runs deep. No communication and but lots of side comments. Lack of front house experience for most staff including managers. No care and no motivation to do better is theme for customer service. 

Grew up in this neck of the woods and spent 8 summers working with a variety of different staff and club members. 
Worked in and ouside driving the beer cart, working in the clubhouse, helping on different homes during tournaments and on the groundscrew8

A fun place to work for the summer. Live at your cottage for the summer? Perfect. Wing nights are a little crazy, must be a strong team player, and be able to handle stress well.

Management was amazing. They were understanding and very warm and welcoming. By far the best establishment I have ever worked at and would recommend to anyone. Salary wasn't what I was hoping for but was applicable for the job position.

During the time I worked at Windemere Golf and Country Club I had fun and was treated well. The management were nice and very understanding. Training was easy to grasp but also not too slow.
