The older front desk employees are usually rude and clearly unhappy their lives turned out this way- that they work at a shabby hotel pretending to be happy and okay with how their sad little lives turned out. Most of the cleaners/laundry people/etc are pretty respectful and keep to themselves. Kitchen staff (men) typically are annoying and very attention seeking. Never had to deal with the owner personally, but have seen him be racist/verbally abusive/and extremely rude to other employees. Upper management does not care about you- no matter how nice they seem at first. They obey the owner and let him slave you around to save themselves. To conclude: not worth it for the pay. You could get paid much more at a better environment that is at least not THIS ignorant.. and dirty... the hotel is so old and dirty and overpriced- which is why their clients have lessened. They could barely afford to pay you a decent amount. They'll be shut down soon since the place is so rundown. Not worth it especially since you have to work long hours and weekends. Literally you could work anywhere else.

I had a fantastic experience working at the Windsor Arms! worked there for 2 years. Management offered very flexible schedule which worked out perfectly for me as I was attending college when I applied. 
Co-workers and management were respectful, caring, professional and helpful... always willing to train you and pass on their knowledge. Met awesome dedicated and supportive people there. Never experienced a hostile environment or any issues with my pay and hours. Customers usually tip well.

Amazing place to work. The staff is very friendly and professional.  The management is very knowledgeable, helpful and accommodating. The best place to get luxury hotel experience, since there is a lot to learn. I am working at the Front Office department and it’s very professional and very well managed. The atmosphere is very friendly and warm. The hotel is beautiful and lavish. I enjoy working there so much that I had to leave the country for few months and once I got back, I was reinstated in my position. The best place I have ever worked at with amazing management and team.

This is the worst job I have had in my 18 year Career. The owner is an over barring mentally deranged bi polar man named George. Him and his two useless sons somehow keep this relic  afloat. George will look over your shoulder, micro manage you, insult youall the while his two sons will walk through the kitchen sticking there large fingers into production food even after it's been played for the clients.

Worst place ever to work. Seniors are nice to you the first week while training and starts getting to know you but after You start on your own, they yelled at you and not only that but they are bully. There is no management and only one Indian old lady does all your paper work she is the only nice and honest. The whole atmosphere is toxic. You start at front desk and 2 weeks later You are doorman or waiter.

-the majority of kitchen equipment is old and doesn't work properly
-I found that cleanliness was not a priority 
-parts of the kitchen had a strong unpleasant odour
-management can be rude and unprofessional at times
-the kitchen lacked structure
-staff facilities (break room, washroom) could be much better

+I found my hourly wage to be reasonable
+the work wasn't difficult
+close to bay station

The Windsor Arms is a beautiful hotel, it really is a shame that the owner does not give staff the room and resources to do their jobs effectively. There would be a lot more special event bookings if the owner stayed away from day-to-day operations.

The Windsor Arms is a great place to work! 

I started as a part time doorman, and the role was great. There was also a lot of opportunity to move up and gain additional experience, as they were able to get me more shifts as a butler and banquet server.

Working together with the manager for successful operations, must knowledge in high tea services and tea product knowledge. Inform customers of the services provided and deal with large parties and small parties at the restaurant.
