It is very obvious a pattern in management, leads and a turn over in staff, not talking about the layoffs. I know we are expected to do more work as people have been laid off but we are not being paid well enough, the bonuses are quite the joke and when you work above and beyond for the company they do not compensate for it. I find a huge lack of communication from upper management, who also gets stressed out easily and take it out on employees emotionally, leaving the employees stressed in their work. I find management can be unprofessional in the way they deal with some situations.
I know a lot of that stress is coming from this covid-19 but for all of us who are coming to work, we would like to see everyone being treated with respect as they say the do and appreciated that we are working hard where we can! 

There are good people who work here and everything is tense right now, just wish we had options for other jobs. Just wish they would stop “hiding the elephant in the closet”. But what can you expect when the owner sets the same example

Working here as a truck driver was a solid experience. My days were well planned, and dispatch kept communication clear, which made every shift smoother. I learned a lot about doing airport pickup and drop-off deliveries, gained experience with warehouse work, and also received forklift training.
The management team treated drivers with respect and was quick to help when needed. The workplace culture was supportive, and other drivers were easy to work with.
The most enjoyable part was driving well-maintained equipment and feeling valued for the work I did.

This is really great place to kick start your career in Aviation and International freight services ! Training standards are high and very well structured. So I’d say even if you’re new beginner and have lesser/no  experience , this place will train you very well. Management is very approachable, very helpful and flexible. This is the best place for work life balance, very flexible and helpful with a schedules. Such a friendly work environment here which causes less stress in day to day operation. Everyone from the front office to manager to the owner,  everyone treated equally, and with lot of respect for individual. They take care of the staff and treat them like a family. Much recommended…

Just want to do you all a huge solid! 
Honestly, at first, I thought this place was pretty good to work at. Was so oblivious to all the sneaky inconsiderate management because of all of the great co-workers on the floor downstairs. Everyone works so hard and yet management doesn’t appreciate it. They use and abuse you for all the extra work you put into day to day and then don’t compensate or appreciate it. To make this a longer story short, management has a lot of issues that is not worth dealing with working there, they’re unrealistic and have no respect. Your team mates are great who deserve better. Would love to see everyone I worked with quit ASAP and find better careers. This place is a huge joke.

Always on call, little info on deliveries and pick ups   .constant changes.
asked to circumvent  safety regulations often... poor equipment ( numerous breakdowns)  Never even heard of this much micro management before . They will, and do throw employees under the bus..management believes everyone is as shady and untrustworthy as they are.. hardest part of job was doing job efficiently as management cannot get out of the way...my most enjoyable part of the job was interacting with other drivers..
     

I have worked at YYC Freight for 10 years and everyday is different and exciting .
I have learned the handling/operations side of cargo at the Calgary airport, How cargo/aircrafts are loaded, Sometimes we get some exciting cargo from the exclusive charters we handle. 
Supportive, friendly, efficient organization, management team shows great leadership and this is a company who truly cares about their employees. 
Working with people and learning new things everyday are the most enjoyable part of the job and also all the Cute Animals !!!

This company has no respect for employees  and it is just a revolving door. People are hired and fired everyday. You get no raise even after 4 years of hard work, but easily called to a meeting with general manager for the smallest mistakes. As a cargo agent you have to serve the customers as well as import and export for 5 airlines. Sometimes you are asked to drive the the van,pain the walls,sweep the office or even clean the washrooms as company does not want to pay for any of these to be done by a cleaning company. Office is shabby and computers are 100 years old.

Don't be fooled, "we're like a family here" is not the selling point it seems like. It means you are expected to bring the same level of care to the job as owners without the appropriate compensation. Ironically, you never see owners/managers when the operation could use the help the most. Little room for advancement. Decent job if you enjoy getting airside but expect spending more time in the warehouse being told to get back to work by supervisors who spend most their time pretending to be busy in the office. Capable leaders are few and far between at this company.

The workplace culture is great, everyone is friendly and works as a team! The company provides paid sick days and does their best to always accommodate vacation requests. Management is friendly and always willing to provide extra support and training where needed. The company allows employees flexibility with their schedule and changing it when needed. 
Management always makes sure to take the time to check in with each employee on a daily basis and cares about the well being of all employees.

FARIENDLY & FUN,  I LOVE THE JOB CULTURE AT THE YYC.

Now I am a Volunteer to serve all the passengers. I love to meet new friends at YYC. 
Working at Garda is an overall fun experience. Everyone in the administration office in Calgary is super friendly. Benefits and salary are good. The only complaint Id say I have with Garda was, if i ever got sick the night before my shift; it was hard for the control to replace me. 
And since i worked at a trained site, i still had to go in and train the guard no matter what emergency i had.
