I recently had the opportunity to experience Zest Communities, and I feel compelled to share my candid feedback on certain aspects of their operations. While I appreciate the potential of this organization, there are several areas where improvements are needed, particularly in management and growth opportunities.

Inadequate Management: It is evident that the management team at Zest Communities lacks the ability to effectively address the needs and concerns of their employees. Communication within the organization seems to be lacking, resulting in a disjointed work environment. There is room for improvement in providing clear and consistent leadership.

Limited Career Advancement: My experience with Zest Communities left me feeling that there is a significant deficit in terms of career growth opportunities. The absence of structured career development programs and pathways for employees is discouraging, leading to a stagnant professional environment.
Employee Engagement: Employee engagement appears to be a challenge at Zest Communities. There is a palpable lack of motivation among staff, which may be attributed to the absence of initiatives that recognize and reward hard work and dedication.

Resource Allocation: The allocation of resources within the organization seems haphazard. Departments are often understaffed or under-resourced, leading to inefficient operations and an undue burden on existing employees.

In conclusion, my intention in providing this review is not to discourage potential employees or residents from considering Zest Communities but to highlight areas that warrant attention and improvement. I believe that with more effective management and a commitment to fostering employee growth, Zest Communities has the potential to become a more appealing and successful organization in the future

Almost every day is different from the last, but I still have my regular things that need to be addressed on a day-to-day basis. We deal with a lot of walk-ins and calls, as well as emails and online requests. I have learned a lot in this company, which includes gaining self-confidence to face problems, public speaking, and what it means to be part of a real team. For these things I am grateful. Our management has good and bad sides to it, just as everything does. My direct managers are wonderful people, and bosses. They are understanding, kind, compassionate, and know how to have a fun work atmosphere. Our workplace culture could use some improvements, but we are on the right path. Things have certainly improved since starting here. The hardest part of the job is staying positive and excited about work because there are many negative opinions around this workplace, whether it be from clients or other staff members. The best part of the job is making people happy through planning events, processing their maintenance requests, and assisting to find the correct information.

Whenever you had a problem you bring it to management they didn't really care I was missing hours they didn't care they get you to work overtime but they don't pay you far overtime they don't tell you that they just want you to work work and work and the managers are nowhere in sight most of the time HR never gets back to you

This company does not have proper management which results in a high staff turnaround. Staff are overworked, multiple positions, do tasks completely out of their skill set and underpaid for it all.
The construction is not completed to the standard that these homes are sold for and the real reason is it comes down to profit. I would not recommend working here or purchasing here.

I really enjoyed my time working Zest. I was welcomed wholeheartedly into a group that had clearly been working together for quite some time. The family fondness among coworkers gave the office a comfortable feel. Management was really great and my coworkers were fantastic. I would highly recommend working with Zest.

Zest communities is a great place to work, it is a fun and supportive environment.  There is an amazing team of people working here.  The team is supportive and creative allowing for brainstorming of ideas, creativity and flexibility.  The philospohy is customer focused, putting our residents at the heart of all we do.

Zest communities (St Elizabeth Retirement Residence) offers platform to work collaboratively as a team with geriatric population. The company has supportive staff and approachable management, however the salary is not competitive.

Great place to start and get as much experience as you can to move on to better things. Management styles are different across every department. Pay rates are not competitive with other companies but it is Hamilton. Hamilton is behind entirely on raising pay rates.

It is a fun place to work. The teamwork is amazing. Definitely a busy place and you never know what might come up but it is a beautiful community filled with great people.  

Every day at Zest is unique. I love being part of a company that is so innovative and part of the community. Management encourages employees to be accountable and bring superior quality in everything we do and create!!
