Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver - Class 1 to join our transportation team. This role involves safely operating commercial vehicles to transport freight across various locations, ensuring timely deliveries and adherence to safety regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, experience with heavy equipment operation, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism. This position offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment, supporting the efficient movement of goods and materials.

Responsibilities

Safely operate Class 1 commercial trucks for freight transportation across designated routes.
Load and unload freight using forklift or other heavy equipment as needed, ensuring proper handling and securement.
Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and safety features, reporting any issues promptly.
Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to maintain vehicle functionality.
Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, mileage logs, and freight manifests in compliance with company policies.
Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company procedures during operations.
Assist in the operation of heavy equipment when required for loading or unloading cargo.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients to coordinate delivery schedules.

Requirements

Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
Experience with freight transportation and commercial driving operations.
Knowledge of forklift operation and heavy equipment handling is preferred.
Basic automotive repair skills are a plus for troubleshooting vehicle issues on the road.
Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
Physical ability to lift heavy loads and perform manual tasks related to loading/unloading freight.
Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening prior to employment.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Work Location: On the road
