Mid Island Co-op is hiring a Petroleum Division Manager in Nanaimo, British Columbia

Things you’ll do:
Reporting to the Vice President, Operations, the Petroleum Division Manager will:
- Research/develop/evaluate business opportunities and develop/implement strategies to optimize growth.
- Develop the division’s business goals, provide oversight and guidance on the division marketing plan, and lead the development of the division’s annual budget.
- Plan, develop and lead the execution of projects; create feasibilities, evaluate capital costs, and develop forecasts for acquisitions and facility and fixed asset upgrades.
- Provide input on policies, programs and services, and evaluate divisional performance.
- Establish performance targets and implement systems and processes to achieve operational efficiencies.
- Provide direction, leadership, coaching, mentoring and growth opportunities for the divisional team.
- Provide guidance on the management of relationships and agreements with external partners/vendors.
- Oversee customer service operations audits and develop strategies for enhancing customer retention.
- Provide leadership in Occupational Health and Safety and ensure compliance.
- Oversee category management: provide guidance on product lines, marketing and pricing, establish division strategies, and conduct market research.

Apply to become our Petroleum Division Manager today if you have a minimum of 5 years’ management experience within a petroleum retail environment (with at least 3 of these years in a senior leadership role), as well as petroleum specific training and/or experience. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, time/project management skills as well as strong computer knowledge and skills (Microsoft, POS Systems).
