Full job description

Our client is looking for a Payroll Administrator to support a mining organization in Calgary, Alberta through a Long-term Contract assignment. This role is ideal for someone with strong payroll experience who can manage payroll processing, reconciliations, reporting, and employee record administration with accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Process biweekly payroll, ensuring accurate and timely employee payments.
Prepare, upload, and validate payroll data while resolving discrepancies.
Perform payroll and vacation balance reconciliations.
Maintain employee payroll records for new hires, terminations, and changes.
Review time and attendance data and resolve payroll-related issues.
Support share option, stock exercise, and compensation-related payroll activities.
Prepare payroll reports and assist with audits and special projects.
Respond to payroll inquiries and support ongoing payroll operations.

Requirements:

Experience administering Canadian payroll in a corporate environment.
Hands-on experience with Ceridian Dayforce, including payroll uploads, validations, and issue resolution.
Strong reconciliation skills and attention to detail.
Experience supporting employee onboarding, terminations, benefits administration, and payroll record maintenance.
Ability to interpret payroll reports; experience with Crystal Reports is an asset.
Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment when investigating payroll issues.
Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and become productive quickly in a fast-paced environment.
