Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Highway Driver to operate commercial vehicles across various routes in <LOCATION>. The ideal candidate will ensure the safe and timely delivery of freight while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting logistics operations that are vital to our business success.

Duties

Safely operate commercial trucks and freight vehicles on designated routes, complying with traffic laws and safety standards.
Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo.
Perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and brake systems.
Assist with the operation of heavy equipment and machinery related to freight handling when necessary.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, documenting any issues or repairs needed.
Coordinate with dispatchers and warehouse staff to ensure accurate delivery schedules and documentation.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.

Skills

Proven 3 years of experience in commercial driving, with a valid driver’s license suitable for operating heavy-duty vehicles.
Knowledge of forklift operation and freight handling procedures.
Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in various conditions.
Basic automotive repair skills for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues.
Strong understanding of safety protocols related to commercial driving and heavy equipment operation.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to adhere to tight schedules.
Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and dispatchers. This position requires a dedicated professional capable of managing multiple responsibilities while maintaining high safety standards in <LOCATION>. Candidates with experience in forklift operation, freight handling, or automotive repair will be highly valued.

Pay: $16.21-$34.87 per hour
