The Department of Psychiatry in the Cumming School of Medicine invites applications for a Data Coordinator. This Full-time Fixed Term position is for approximately 6 months (based on length of grant funding), with the possibility of extension.
Reporting to the Research Manager and Principal Investigator, the Calgary Trajectories in Youth Mental Health (TYM) Cohort study. The Data Coordinator will support a longitudinal research study in youth mental health. This project aims better understand the genetic and environments factors that impact mental health trajectories in help-seeking youth.
Summary of Key Responsibilities (job functions include but are not limited to):

Manage data cleaning, analysis, reporting and sharing with collaborators

Responsible for maintaining study records and documentation in REDCap and other relevant databases

Participant recruitment, research ethics board protocol management, supporting collaborative legal agreements as well as collaboration with other associated studies

Support a healthy workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork
Support and ensure documentation complies with all applicable University of Calgary policies, as well as all regulatory and legislative requirements

Qualifications / Requirements:

Must have a graduate degree in a relevant field with experience collecting, managing, analyzing and summarizing data sets

Previous experience with genetic, mental health and/or health record data is considered a strong asset

Required to have previous experience working with REDCap and data analysis software

Proficiency with word processing, PowerPoint and database software packages is required

Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and diverse stakeholders is essential. Demonstrated communications skills (both oral and written) are required as is the ability to explain complex issues in plain language

Need to have excellent attention to detail, the ability to exercise initiative and good judgment, and be able to meet deadlines while working independently with minimal supervision

Ability to multi-task and produce high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work effectively in a variety of settings with individuals from diverse backgrounds
