Administrative Assistant – TAF Ventures Inc
TAF Ventures is a locally owned company in Kamloops that operates two established businesses under one roof: Interior Display Services and Lee's Music Store and School. We're looking for one great person to help keep both sides of the operation running smoothly.
THE BUSINESSES
Interior Display Services is a tents and events business locally operated in Kamloops since 1972. We provide rental equipment and logistics services for some of the largest and most beloved community events in Kamloops and surrounding areas.

Since 1974, Lee's Music Store & School has been a cornerstone of the Kamloops music scene and is currently the city's only local, family-run music shop. Decades of hands-on experience and knowledge sit behind everything we do, from instrument repair and retail to walk-out AV rentals and our lesson school. We're proud to still be a Kamloops original, serving musicians of every kind for over 50 years.
THE ROLE
This is a flexible, part-time administrative position serving both businesses. You'll be the person helping make sure clients are heard, schedules are organized, and nothing falls through the cracks. Both businesses are transitioning and growing and we are looking for someone to grow with us.
Seasonal Changes
Each season you will get to prioritize wearing a different hat. For example:
May - August: This is peak season for IDS
September: Fall Registration for LMS and lessons start up again
November - December: Peak retail season for LMS
January - April: Great time to catch up on all the small things and plan ahead
What You'll Be Doing
- Communicating with clients via email and phone on behalf of both businesses
- Helping manage scheduling and bookings
- Supporting organization of systems, files, and processes
- Assisting with basic bookkeeping as needed
- Jumping in where help is needed as the seasons shift
What We're Looking For
- Some basic office or administrative experience
- Customer service experience
- Clear, friendly communication skills: written and verbal
- Someone organized, reliable, and comfortable wearing a few different hats
- Ability to work independently and manage your own time
- Comfortable working remotely
- Booking keeping experience is an asset
- A genuine willingness to communicate with patience and kindness - our team members include people with neurodivergent brains, and we value someone who is open to learning how to connect effectively and respectfully with people who think and communicate differently
What We Offer
- Flexible hours that work around your life
- Ability to work from home
- Variety - no two days (or seasons) look exactly the same
- A small, supportive and inclusive team environment
If you're organized, friendly, and looking for a flexible role with two interesting small businesses, we'd love to connect.
