Position Title: Sports Medicine / Occupational Health Physician
Location: Lifemark Physiotherapy Hazelwood, Lifemark Physiotherapy Nordel Way and Lifemark 64th Avenue
Status: 40 hrs / week – Permanent Full-Time
Schedule: Open 5 to 7 days / week
Compensation: $180-230 per hour or $374,400 - $478,00 per year
Location type: Hybrid w/ presence in 3 clinics required

Your Day-to-Day
-
Completion of pre-employment medicals to ensure safety for work (WorkSafeBC program assessments).
-
Provision of second medical opinions to clarify diagnosis and specify rehabilitation recommendations.

Deliver medical examinations within an interdisciplinary team framework.

Further the offering of our national Sports Medicine brand.

Provide preventative and interventional treatments for our clients, including intra-articular Autologous Protein, PRP Hyaluronic, and Corticosteroid injections.

Collaborate seamlessly with allied health practitioners to deliver optimal rehabilitation for athletes of all levels.

Conduct comprehensive assessments of musculoskeletal injuries and determine suitability for rehabilitation and further consultation.

Demonstrate expertise in assessing and managing concussions within the sports population.

Collaborate with coaches, dieticians, physiotherapists, strength and conditioning coaches, and other healthcare practitioners to facilitate athletes' return to play.

Empower athletes to maximize performance levels and prevent injuries.

Develop results-oriented treatment and rehabilitation plans for patients.
Qualifications:
-
Doctor of Medicine, licensed to practice in BC.
-
Diploma in Sports Medicine, a special interest, or other post-graduate training in sports medicine and / or Occupational Health.

Registered and in good standing with BC's College of Physicians and Surgeons.

Specialization in Sports Medicine an asset.

Experienced in providing preventative and interventional treatments for our clients, including intra-articular Autologous Protein (nSTRIDE), PRP, Hyaluronic, and Corticosteroid injections.

Up-to-date personal liability & malpractice insurance.
-
Completion of courses in Occupational Medicine (Canadian Board of Occupational Medicine or American College of Occupational & Environmental Medicine) or(Certified Independent Medical Examiner) an asset.
