Location: Woodstock Region, ON - Candidates should reside within 1 hour of Woodstock
Term: Direct-Hire, Full-Time. As we expand our footprint in Ontario, we are looking for 2 ambitious Design Engineers (E.I.T.), OR candidates that are currently enrolled in a 4th-year Engineering Program within 3 months of graduation, to join our team in the Woodstock Region office.

Training: All successful candidates will undergo comprehensive onboarding and technical training at our Woodstock Region, ON location.
International Talent: We welcome Permanent Residents with Engineering/Technician degrees or diplomas from their home country who are currently bridging their education. Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. Please note: Building Theory Inc. does not provide sponsorship.
The Role: The Design Engineers (E.I.T) will support our project managers and engineers in project coordination tasks and in developing detailed designs, with a heavy emphasis on Precast Engineering—a specialized field where Building Theory leads the market.
Key Responsibilities
· Learn and apply specialized engineering principles for precast concrete components
· Review construction designs and assist in ensuring all designs comply with current Ontario building practices and codes
· Coordinate internal teams (engineering, BIM, drafting), perform project coordination tasks and coordination of external stakeholders
· Review, communicate and ensure conformance for drawings, submittals, RFIs, and technical documentation
· Ensure quality control and compliance with project requirements
· Identify design risks proactively and implement effective solutions
Qualifications
· Maintain high standards of performance, professionalism, and client satisfaction
· A desire to learn the specifics of Precast Engineering and a good understanding of general construction practices
· Functional knowledge of AutoCAD/STAAD PRO/ETABS is an asset
· Familiarity with BIM workflows is an asset.
· Good understanding of design workflows and project life cycles
· Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
Work Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m with flexibility to work after hours if needed to complete project tasks.
