Job Title: Solder Assembler
Location: Calgary, AB (on-site)
Employment Type: Full Time
Pay Range: $23.00 - $25.00/hour
Start Date: Immediately
Position Overview:The Solder Assembler is responsible for the assembly, testing, and production of downhole tools, surface interfaces, and electronic cabinets. This role requires strong technical skills in electronics assembly, soldering, welding, and interpreting wiring diagrams. The successful candidate will work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure products are built to GEO PSI’s quality standards and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:

- Assemble downhole tools, surface interfaces, and electronic cabinets in accordance with engineering specifications and quality standards.
- Perform soldering of printed circuit boards (PCBs), sensors, and electronic components.
- Conduct TIG and laser welding operations while maintaining precision and quality requirements.
- Read, interpret, and follow wiring diagrams, schematics, and assembly drawings.
- Collaborate with the Technical Writer to develop and maintain work instructions and assembly documentation.
- Build and test products to meet GEO PSI quality expectations and customer requirements.
- Complete assigned tasks independently with minimal supervision.
- Work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment.
- Demonstrate resourcefulness by identifying and implementing solutions to technical and production challenges.
- Seek peer support and troubleshoot issues proactively before escalating concerns.
- Present recommended solutions to management when addressing operational or technical issues.

Qualifications & Skills
- Experience in mechanical and electronic assembly within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Proficiency in soldering PCBs, sensors, and electronic components.
- Experience with TIG and laser welding techniques as an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
