The People and Culture Coordinator plays a key role in supporting a positive employee experience and fostering a culture aligned with VMAC’s values. Reporting to People and Culture Generalist, this role provides administrative and operational support across all areas of People and Culture, including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, training, and HR compliance. The ideal candidate is highly organized, people-focused, and passionate about creating a workplace where employees thrive.
As People and Culture Coordinator you will:
Recruiting and Onboarding:
- Support hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.
- Facilitate onboarding and orientation for new coworkers.
Coworker Experience and Engagement:
- Assist in organizing employee engagement initiatives, wellness programs, and recognition activities.
- Support internal communications and culture-building efforts.
- Maintain and update employee records and HR systems.
Learning and Development:
- Coordinate training sessions, track attendance, and manage learning resources.
- Support the implementation of development programs and performance reviews.
HR Operations and Compliance:
- Ensure HR documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Support benefits administration and respond to employee inquiries.
Reception:
- Answering and transferring calls.
- Signing in guests.
- Ordering office supplies.
- Other duties as required.
What you bring:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in human resources administration.
- Post-secondary education in human resources or related field.
- CPHR candidacy considered an asset.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Previous experience in HR functions such as benefits administration considered an asset.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic business environment with the ability to quickly adapt to change.
- Ability to establish strong working relationships and work independently.
