Job Overview

UNQUALIFIED APPLICATES WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plant Operator to oversee daily operations within our oil and gas facilities and wells. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, experience with oil and gas well operating including pumpjacks, pcps, ESP's. This role involves operating complex machinery, ensuring safety standards are met, and maintaining efficient plant performance. The Plant Operator will play a vital role in maintaining continuous production and adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

Operate and monitor heavy machinery used in plant processes, ensuring optimal performance.
Manage programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to control and automate equipment functions.
Conduct routine inspections of equipment and perform basic troubleshooting to prevent downtime.
Perform heavy lifting tasks safely as required for maintenance or material handling.
Maintain accurate records of operations, maintenance activities, and safety checks.
Follow safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
Assist with mechanical repairs or adjustments as needed, utilizing mechanical knowledge.
Support the implementation of process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and basic automation systems.
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate heavy machinery effectively.
Familiarity with oil & gas industry standards is preferred.
Strong understanding of basic math for measurements, calculations, and process adjustments.
Excellent attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
Physical capability to work in demanding environments requiring stamina and strength. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic industrial environment where safety, efficiency, and technical skills are highly valued.

Pay: $40.00-$47.00 per hour

Must have actually operated full time an oil and gas run as an actual operator for an oil company.
Know how to start an arrow engine and put verify a pumpjack is pumping. Have started arrow engines
Do you have minimum 3 years of actual experience operating an oil and gas battery and wells
Do you live within 1 hour of lamont, alberta

Experience:

ACTUAL OIL BATTERY: 3 years (preferred)
producing and actual oilwell not just well service: 3 years (required)

Language:

Fluent English (required)

Driving Licence (required)
