POSITION BACKGROUND
Ketek Group Inc. is a leading provider of quality assured and quality-controlled services. The QA/QC Lead is responsible for the overall management and administration of the quality assurance program across all areas of Company business, both shop-based and field activities. The QA/QC Lead guarantees compliance by inspecting equipment and adherence to established processes, ensuring that all internal and/or client generated specifications, and supporting documentation, are completed and submitted. The assurance of quality service and equipment is invaluable to the Company reputation. For the purposes of this document, 'Company' refers to Ketek Group Inc. and all its subsidiaries.
CORE DUTIES
Main Duties
-
Monitor & inspect quality assurance and quality control practices, across all areas of Company business, to ensure continual and effective implementation. Ensure compliance with project specifications, client requirements, industry and regulatory standards.

Work in conjunction with all Business Types and Support Services to evaluate validity of existing and future QA/QC processes and documentation, to ensure compliance with all applicable requirements.

Review inspection reports, check-lists, processes, documents and project scopes of work for general quality assurance and specific customer requirements.

Manage, maintain and assist with implementation of the ISO:9001 Quality Management System, including administration and audits of the system.

Maintain working relationships with relevant field supervisors, operations and office personnel to facilitate the completion of all QA/QC requirements.

Review and analyze Opportunities for Improvement (OFI) as well as identify potential hazards and provide follow-up with key stakeholders.

Ensure any identified defects or equipment related issues are reported to the shop/site supervisor, are correctly tagged, segregated and communicated to the appropriate group.

Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation.

Provide technical guidance and support to field personnel.

Collaborate with project manager, supervisors, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve quality issues.

Participate in project/job meetings to gather knowledge and manage coordination of QA/QC processes across both job and project activities.
Other Duties
-
Will be required to conduct QA/QC tasks within office, shop and site environments, which includes travel to Ketek branch and client site locations.

May be required to complete work tasks outside of the typical scope.

Participation in Company and client investigations, audits and meetings, as applicable.

Cooperate with Training department for scheduling of new/recertification training.

Observe all safety procedures and use proper Personal Protective Equipment (where required).

Ensure all Company’s work procedures, policies and Occupational Health and Safety regulations are followed.

Represent the Company in a light that is commensurate with the values of Management and the Corporate Vision Mission Statements.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Required
-
Completion of post-secondary education with a related diploma/degree or trade certificate.

Minimum three years’ Company experience.

Minimum three years of hands on experience in a field or corporate position in a QA/QC role within an oil and/or gas environment.

Knowledge of quality assurance and quality control programs.

Valid Class 5 driver's license with Driver's Abstract.

Fluent in the English language (reading, written, spoken).
Preferred

Experience with ISO:9001 Quality Management System, audit experience an asset.

Willingness to travel to shop, branch and project sites, as required.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

This position is defined as Safety Sensitive: Drug, Alcohol, Back, and Audio tests are required prior to commencing employment. A Pulmonary Function test may also be required.

Physical Demands

May at times be exposed to dangerous and/or toxic substances and must take necessary precautions to protect yourself using applicable controls.

May be required to work around heavy-duty equipment.

Regularly required to stand/sit, talk/hear, use hands/fingers to operate a computer and telephone, stoop, and kneel.

Moderate exposure to computer screens.

May be required to spend a significant portion of daily activities driving from site to site.
Work Environment

70% - Office, 30% - Shop/Field.

May be required to work weekends and outside of regular office hours.

May be required to work outside in all different weather conditions including extreme cold and heat.
VEHICLE AND DRIVING REQUIREMENTS
- Vehicle, if required, will be available at the shop or on the site only.

Valid Class 5 Driver’s License required and a clean driver’s abstract.
