Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role requires strong communication skills, efficiency in food service, and the ability to manage multiple tables while maintaining a positive attitude. Previous restaurant experience and familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS are preferred. The Server will play a vital role in providing an outstanding dining experience that encourages guest satisfaction and repeat business.

Duties

Greet guests warmly and take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems
Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation quality
Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering procedures and cash handling protocols
Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, including tables, utensils, and dining surfaces
Assist with food preparation when necessary, adhering to food safety guidelines
Monitor guest needs throughout their visit, providing attentive guest services and resolving any issues promptly
Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service for all tables
Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations

Qualifications

Previous experience in food service or hospitality industry preferred, especially in serving roles
Familiarity with POS systems such as Veloce or similar platforms
Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours
Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling techniques
Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and making change
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Experience with food industry standards including food preparation, serving, and guest services is highly desirable
A positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and flexibility to adapt to varying shifts are essential
