The Opportunity
- Key leadership role responsible for financial management, reporting, and controls within a growing industrial business
- Partner closely with leadership to support operational decision-making and business performance
- Opportunity to bring structure, discipline, and clarity to accounting and financial processes
- Hands-on role with both strategic and day-to-day responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
- Lead full-cycle accounting, including AP, AR, payroll oversight, and general ledger management
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial data
- Maintain and improve financial reporting systems and processes
Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis
- Develop and manage budgets and forecasts in collaboration with leadership
- Monitor cash flow, costs, and financial performance across projects and operations
- Provide analysis and insights to support business decisions
- Support job costing, project tracking, and margin analysis
Payroll, Compliance & Controls
- Oversee payroll processes and ensure accuracy of employee compensation records
- Ensure compliance with applicable legislation, standards, and company policies
- Maintain strong internal controls and financial governance
- Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and advisors
Operational & Business Support
- Partner with operations to align financial tracking with project execution
- Improve systems, workflows, and administrative efficiency
- Support onboarding documentation, employee records, and internal reporting where needed
- Contribute to a structured, accountable, and high-performing office environment
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including senior-level responsibilities
- CPA designation (preferred) or actively pursuing, or a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting and financial reporting
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard office applications
- Experience with accounting and payroll systems; project-based or industrial experience is an asset
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Professional communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail

Pay: $100,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
