As part of the opening team, you will play an integral role in shaping the culture, beverage program, service standards, and guest experience of one of Niagara's premier dining destinations.
Position Summary
Terrain Restaurant is seeking experienced and hospitality-driven Full-Time PM Bartenders who are passionate about wine, classic cocktails, modern mixology, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
This is a hybrid service role. In addition to managing the bar program, bartenders will also be responsible for servicing a three-table dining section, providing full food and beverage service with the same level of care and attention expected in the dining room.
Successful candidates must be equally confident behind the bar and on the floor—crafting cocktails, engaging guests, providing recommendations, and delivering polished, Forbes-level hospitality in a fast-paced environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Experience & Service Excellence
- Deliver warm, engaging, and personalized hospitality to all bar and dining room guests.
- Create memorable guest experiences through genuine connection, conversation, and attentiveness.
- Anticipate guest needs and consistently exceed expectations.
- Execute service standards aligned with luxury hospitality and Forbes-level expectations.
- Manage and service a three-table section in addition to bar responsibilities.
- Guide guests confidently through cocktails, wine selections, spirits, and menu offerings.
- Create a welcoming, high-energy bar atmosphere that enhances the overall dining experience.
- Resolve guest concerns with professionalism, urgency, and care.
- Ensure every guest leaves feeling valued, welcomed, and eager to return.
Beverage Knowledge & Craftsmanship
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Possess a foundation in modern mixology techniques and creative cocktail development.
- Execute cocktails accurately, consistently, and efficiently during both low and high-volume service periods.
- Make thoughtful food, wine, and cocktail pairing recommendations.
- Communicate the story behind ingredients, producers, and beverage philosophy.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, seasonal ingredients, and local producers.
- Participate in ongoing beverage education and training.
Operational Excellence
- Prepare and execute beverage orders with speed, accuracy, and consistency.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar and service station at all times.
- Manage bar mise en place, inventory, garnishes, and requisitions.
- Process orders and payments accurately through POS systems.
- Complete opening, closing, and side work responsibilities to a high standard.
- Collaborate with culinary, service, and leadership teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Support floor service and team members as required to maintain flow of service.

We are looking for individuals who bring energy to the room, elevate the guest experience through personality, and maintain the structure and organization required in a luxury hospitality environment.
Qualifications
- 2–3+ years of bartending experience in upscale dining, luxury hotels, fine dining restaurants, or premium cocktail environments.
- Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and beverage service.
- Experience with both classic cocktail execution and modern mixology techniques.
- Speed bartending experience is considered a strong asset.
- Ability to manage both a busy bar and a three-table dining section simultaneously.
- Strong food and wine knowledge with ability to provide pairing recommendations.
- WSET, Court of Master Sommeliers, BarSmarts, or equivalent beverage certification is considered an asset.
- Excellent communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining luxury service standards.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to bend, reach, carry, and perform repetitive service tasks.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
