ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION

Paskal Cattle Corporation (PCC) is a proudly owned and operating Southern Alberta Cattle Feeding and Farming organization.

Originally operating as part of one of Canada’s largest Cattle and Farming operations, PCC has recently become its own operating entity with sights set on success and growth. Although a newly formed entity, PCC has generations of experience, vast expertise and deeply rooted relationships to leverage and grow! Located near Iron Springs Alberta, PCC is known for producing high quality beef, using sustainable practices, while striving to ensure we are a great place to work, fostering growth, teamwork, and enjoyment! KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Accounts Payable (Full Cycle)

Coding invoices to correct expense g/l account(s)
Entering payables in to accounting system
Producing payment batches/runs
Reconciling vendor statements
Reconciling Credit Card statements

Accounts Receivable (Full Cycle)

Entering receivables in to accounting system
Creating and distributing billing invoices
Entering customer payments in to accounting system

Feedlot / Farming Support (Operations)

Assisting the grain buyer with contract administration
Entering grain load/commodity data into Excel
Assisting with the scheduling of grain loads
Assist feedlot administrators with data entry into feedlot software
Calculating landed costs for cattle

Other Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities/Assets

General office tasks
Feedlot/Grounds tasks as needed: holding gates, cutting grass

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Previous experience with full cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable required
Post secondary education in Ag and/or Accounting desired (will equally consider depth of experience)
Enrollment in CPA an asset but not required
Experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO) and/or FeedIT software an asset
Intermediate Excel and experience with Google Sheets desired
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
Proven track record of showing initiative and being reliable required
Flexibility to work with a variety of different tasks required
Candidates must be comfortable with both an office environment and feedlot environment
