Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide specialized therapy services to patients across various settings, including hospitals and outpatient clinics. This role involves developing personalized treatment plans, assessing patient needs, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to promote optimal recovery and functional independence. Prior experience in hospital environments and pediatrics is highly valued, along with strong case management skills and knowledge of medical terminology. The Occupational Therapist will play a vital role in improving patient outcomes through expert therapeutic interventions and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical, cognitive, and emotional needs to develop tailored treatment plans.
Implement therapeutic interventions aimed at improving patients’ daily functioning, mobility, and independence.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care strategies.
Document patient progress accurately and maintain detailed records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, adaptive techniques, and safety measures for ongoing recovery.
Manage caseloads efficiently, prioritizing urgent cases while ensuring quality care for all patients.
Stay current with best practices in occupational therapy, including updates in medical terminology and treatment methodologies.

Skills

Proven experience working in hospital settings with a strong understanding of acute care procedures.
Experience in pediatrics is preferred, with the ability to adapt therapy approaches accordingly.
Strong case management skills to coordinate multidisciplinary care plans effectively.
Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient populations.
Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to occupational therapy practices.
Ability to work efficiently within fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
Effective communication skills for collaborating with healthcare teams and educating patients and families. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives through expert therapeutic support within a dynamic healthcare environment.

Pay: $30.21-$79.23 per hour
