What makes this shop different
The owner is also a technician, so the person leading the shop understands diagnostics, repair quality, service information, tooling, parts delays, comeback risk, and technician workload.
We are not building a flat-rate pressure shop.
We care about proper testing, clear communication, clean workflow, and quality repairs. We want technicians to have the time, tools, information, and support to do the job properly.
This is a good fit for someone who wants strong pay, steady hours, interesting work, and a calmer environment than the typical dealership or high-pressure shop.
What you can expect day to day
You will be working in a busy independent shop with proper service information, diagnostic tooling, front-counter support, and a quality-focused workflow.
We charge and schedule diagnostic time properly, document findings, communicate clearly with customers, and do not expect technicians to rush through testing for free.
The goal is steady, professional output with proper information, proper process, and support from the front counter and ownership.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for a capable senior automotive technician, journeyman technician, or Red Seal Automotive Service Technician who is comfortable with, or capable of growing further into:
- diagnostics
- electrical testing
- drivability
- general repair
- maintenance
- brakes and suspension
- inspections
- all-makes work
- using service information properly
- clear documentation
- communication with the front counter
European vehicle experience is a major asset, but the bigger requirement is diagnostic discipline, honesty, organization, and the ability to work independently without constant supervision.
You do not need to know everything. Nobody does. But you do need to be capable, organized, honest, calm under pressure, and willing to work within a professional shop culture.
This may be a good fit if you are
- proud of quality work
- good at solving problems
- tired of flat-rate pressure
- tired of rushed or unpaid diagnostics
- tired of poor dispatch or chaotic workflow
- interested in European and all-makes repair
- someone who takes pride in the trade and genuinely enjoys the work
- looking for a serious long-term shop
- interested in a future lead technician path
The lead path is available for the right person, but this is first and foremost a senior technician role. It is not a title handed out on day one. It is earned through trust, quality work, calm communication, documentation, consistency, mentoring, and team support.
This role is not a fit for someone who
- cuts corners
- avoids documentation
- creates drama
- talks down to advisors or other technicians
- works outside a quality-first team culture
We are looking for a calm, capable professional who takes ownership of their work, communicates clearly, and wants to be part of a well-run shop.
Confidential conversations are welcome.
If you are good at what you do but unsure whether moving shops is worth the risk, reach out. We are happy to have a real conversation about the role, the shop, the package, and what the right long-term fit could look like.
For the right senior technician, we are willing to build a serious long-term package.
Pay: $50.00-$60.00 per hour

- On-site parking
- Paid time off
- RRSP match
