For immediate hire: Calling all night owls! Our pet care team provides around the clock care to furry guests in our charge! We're looking for a part-time team member to join our team a couple nights a week with shifts starting at 7:00pm, ending at 12pm or later, depending on the demands of she season.
Our late night team members take dogs for leashed walks from our Downtown location, medicate guests as needed, monitor health and wellness overnight and clean and disinfect the facility while the dogs sleep so we're ready for another day of fun when the sun comes up. This fun position requires a moderate to high level of physical activity and a person who can be trusted to work independently.
We provide fantastic training, direction, work flow direction and team member support. This position requires a detail-oriented individual that can multi-task; one must be aware of the behavioral quirks of the guests they're supervising, attentive to any potential changes in the health and wellness of our guests and proactively walk multiple dogs per shift.

Qualified Candidates:
- Pet care experience is nice , but not required.
- Must be bondable (police background clearance)
- Can convey details about a pet's behavior in our team chat a way that Client Service teams can communicate to clients.
- Have a basic understanding of dog breeds and the behavior.
- Be a self-aware individual, comfortable working independently in a downtown location at night
- Be comfortable working under surveillance
- A self-proclaimed "clean freak" who loves to give full attention to small details
General Shift Tasks:
- Work independently and proactively while on shift with infrequent engagement with peers.
- Taking our canine guests for late night bathroom breaks and exercise
- Be able to work in an active environment on your feet, similar to a position in hospitality.
- Enjoy working with animals and look forward to handling and caring for animals of all sizes and breeds.
- Be able to identify and execute house keeping tasks as required throughout the shift. Ensure all supplies are in ready supply and topped up for the next team member.
- Ensure communication boards, task lists, reports and binders are current for the shift you’re working.
- Ensure that guest files are updated with feedback and important observations throughout your shift.
- Identify guests that may require additional or changes to care plans going forward based on observations of the pet in care.
- Ensure that all health concerns and medical needs are accurately recorded and communicated.
Operational Tasks:
- Ensure all equipment is in good working order and communicate repair needs to management.
Education and Experience:
- Articulate and pleasant conversational in-person demeanor
- High school diploma required, post-secondary enrollment an asset

Shifts: Part Time.
- Currently seeking one part time candidate to work Thursday to Monday evenings.
- During busy holiday periods, we would be able to offer more hours to support our full-time overnight team when we have a higher volume of guests in care overnight.
Salary: $17-19 /hour depending on experience
