Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated MIG and TIG Weldersto join our growing team in Guelph. This role is vital to ensuring efficient operations within our facility. Join us and contribute to a company renowned for its durability and innovation.
Hours of Work: 4:20 PM – 2:20 AM, Monday to Thursday
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of fabrication tasks including MIG welding, TIG welding, metal finishing, spot welding, stud welding, and robotic welding as required
- Work from customer orders, and oral or written instructions
- Interpret and execute work based on company blueprints and technical drawings
- Use hand and power tools such as hammers, saws, files, drills, grinders, clamps, and welding equipment
- Perform oil-tight welds in accordance with specifications
- Verify product dimensions and specifications using measurement tools such as calipers, gauges, and squares
- Navigate the production ERP system to access work instructions and documentation
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of completed work and assigned orders
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently while meeting production targets
- Complete all required quality, production, and safety documentation
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good working condition
- Adhere to all company health, safety, and quality policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of welding experience within a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment
- Welding certification is considered a strong asset
- Proven proficiency in both MIG and TIG welding processes
- Able to understand company blueprints, drawings, and documented work instructions.
- Strong understanding of welding technology, including distortion control, welding equipment, and commonly used metals
- Ability to use hand tools and lift up to 50 lbs on a repeated basis
- Strong written and oral communication
- Technical aptitude and basic mathematical skills are considered an asset
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and work instructions
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
