Full job description

The Breadalbane Inn is a landmark hospitality destination in the heart of downtown Fergus. Since 1996, we have been welcoming guests with exceptional food, warm hospitality, and a commitment to quality. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Restaurant & Pub Manager to lead the daily operations of Scozia Restaurant and the Fergusson Room Pub.

This is an opportunity for a hands-on hospitality leader who thrives on building strong teams, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and driving operational excellence.

Salary: $52,500–$72,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities:

Lead the day-to-day operations of Scozia Restaurant and the Fergusson Room Pub.
Hire, train, coach, and schedule front-of-house staff.
Maintain high service standards and ensure exceptional guest experiences.
Manage labour costs and support food cost control initiatives.
Oversee inventory, ordering, and operational systems.
Work closely with ownership, the Executive Chef, and the events team.
Support the successful execution of special events and catering functions.
Foster a positive, professional, and team-focused work environment.

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of management experience in a full-service restaurant environment.
Strong leadership, team-building, and coaching abilities.
Experience with scheduling, labour management, cost control, and staff training.
A hands-on leadership style with a strong presence on the floor during service.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
A passion for hospitality and delivering memorable guest experiences.
Hotel or inn experience is an asset but not required.
