Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, ensure food safety standards are met, and support the kitchen staff in delivering high-quality meals to our guests. This role is perfect for individuals with a passion for food service and experience in restaurant or kitchen environments who are eager to grow their culinary skills.

Duties

Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to recipes and quality standards
Assist in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep station and kitchen area
Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
Support cooking staff during meal preparation and service times
Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage and handling procedures are followed
Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed
Ensure all food is prepared efficiently to meet service deadlines

Skills

Experience in serving, food preparation, and cooking within a restaurant or food industry setting
Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety standards
Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques and kitchen operations
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team
Familiarity with restaurant service standards and customer expectations
Prior experience in food service or kitchen roles is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
