Full job description

Position Summary:

We are seeking service-oriented, mature, and responsible individuals to join our team as Front Desk Associates at our three locations: The Edmonton Volleyball Pickleball Center (9455 45 Ave NW), The Edmonton Pickleball Center (WEST - 11420 170 Street NW), and The Centers Sports Complex (9 Richardson Dr, St. Albert). As the first point of contact for our patrons, you will provide professional assistance and ensure a welcoming environment. You will work collaboratively with other team members to manage daily operations, perform customer service functions, and ensure the facility runs smoothly. This role requires availability for various shifts, including days and evenings, Monday through Sunday.

Pay: CA$18.00 per hour

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Customer Service Excellence: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate positively and effectively with all patrons and staff.
Professionalism: Maintain a professional, mature, and neat appearance while representing The Center’s values.
Operational Proficiency: Strong computer skills and a working knowledge of Point of Sale (POS) and online booking platforms.
Adaptability: Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
Reliability: Ability to monitor and enforce all facility/program policies, rules, and regulations while maintaining a polite and cooperative attitude.
Integrity: Maintain high standards of integrity, including protecting the privacy and confidentiality of all individuals.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Customer Service & Sales: Serve as the primary point of contact for inquiries via phone, email, and in-person. Process facility rentals, bookings, and registrations. Sell memberships, passes, sports apparel, paddles, and concession items.
Facility Operations: Manage opening and/or closing procedures for the facility. Ensure the reception area remains orderly and welcoming.
Maintenance & Support: Assist with the setup and takedown of nets, poles, and other sports equipment on court areas. Perform general cleaning and sanitization tasks to ensure a safe and tidy environment.
General Administration: Assist patrons with information regarding programs, tournaments, facility offerings, hours, procedures, and fees. Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
Certifications (Must be obtained prior to hiring):
CPR/AED and/or Standard First Aid certification.
Pro Serve Certification.
Clear Criminal Record Check.
