Full job description

We are hiring an Accounts Payable Coordinator for our Vancouver client. This is a great opportunity to join an established organization with a collaborative and supportive team environment. This role offers the opportunity to support accounts payable operations across multiple business units, take ownership of a high-volume AP function, work alongside an experienced finance team, and gain valuable accounting experience within a diverse organization. The successful candidate will have 2+ years of AP experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

About The Opportunity
The Accounts Payable Coordinator will support the finance team with high-volume invoice processing, payment coordination, vendor reconciliations, and resolving discrepancies. Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, this role provides the opportunity to work within a diverse and dynamic organization, gain exposure to accounting operations across multiple business units, and contribute to process improvements within a collaborative team environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an AP professional looking to expand their skills and grow their career with an established organization.

About The Position

Process a high volume of vendor invoices, payments, expense reports, and other accounts payable transactions with accuracy and efficiency.
Review invoices and supporting documentation to ensure proper approvals, coding, and compliance with internal policies.
Enter invoices into the ERP system and maintain accurate vendor records and account information.
Perform vendor statement reviews, account reconciliations, and assist with resolving discrepancies.
Coordinate payment processing through various methods, including EFT, wire transfers, cheques, and corporate credit cards.
Monitor outstanding accounts and ensure payments are processed accurately and within established timelines.
Communicate with vendors and internal departments to address invoice inquiries and resolve payment-related issues.
Support ongoing improvements to accounts payable processes and participate in finance-related projects as required.
Assist with maintaining organized financial records and ensuring data integrity within accounting systems.

The Requirements

2+ years of experience in an accounts payable or related accounting role.
Post-secondary education in business, accounting, or a related discipline is preferred.
Experience working in a multi-entity or fast-paced environment is considered an asset.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience using ERP systems.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies.
Adaptable mindset with an interest in identifying efficiencies and improving processes.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual salary range is $50,000–$60,000 depending on experience.
