Job Overview

We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver - Class 1 to join our transportation team. This role involves safely operating commercial vehicles to transport freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining adherence to safety regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, a solid understanding of heavy equipment operation, and a commitment to safety and efficiency. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Duties

Safely operate Class 1 commercial trucks for freight transportation across designated routes.
Load and unload freight using forklifts and other heavy equipment as needed.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle logs.
Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle readiness.
Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws during transportation activities.
Coordinate with dispatchers and warehouse staff to ensure efficient loading, delivery, and pickup schedules.
Assist with the operation of heavy equipment when required for loading or unloading cargo.

Skills

Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Experience in freight transportation and commercial driving operations.
Proficiency in forklift operation and heavy equipment handling is a plus.
Knowledge of automotive repair basics for troubleshooting vehicle issues.
Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and transportation.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for maintaining logs and documentation.
Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently under various conditions.
Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients.

This role is essential in ensuring the smooth flow of freight logistics while prioritizing safety, reliability, and professionalism at all times.

Pay: Up to $30.00 per hour
