Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Computer Repair Technician to join our dynamic IT support team. This role is critical in providing advanced technical assistance to our clients and internal teams, ensuring the seamless operation of various systems and networks. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in computer networking, operating systems, and support tools, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and technical solutions across multiple platforms including Windows, macOS, and Linux.

Duties

Provide expert-level technical support via help desk channels for complex issues related to hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
Troubleshoot and resolve problems involving operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux, including software troubleshooting and hardware diagnostics.
Assist with network-related issues including LAN configuration, firewall management, VPN connectivity, and firewall troubleshooting.
Manage service requests using ServiceNow, Jira, and BMC Remedy to ensure timely resolution and documentation of incidents.
Support desktop environments by installing, configuring, and maintaining software applications such as Microsoft Office and other productivity tools.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve escalated issues related to computer networking, operating systems, and hardware components.
Conduct root cause analysis for recurring problems and recommend improvements to prevent future incidents.
Maintain detailed records of support activities and communicate effectively with customers to ensure satisfaction.
Participate in system upgrades, patch management, and security updates to ensure compliance with organizational standards.

Requirements

Proven experience in technical support roles with a focus on computer networking, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and hardware troubleshooting.
Strong knowledge of VPN configurations, LAN setup, firewall management, and network security protocols.
Hands-on experience with support tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, BMC Remedy for incident tracking and management.
Proficiency in desktop support tasks including software installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and user account management.
Familiarity with IT support best practices for help desk operations and customer service excellence.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members at all levels of technical understanding.
Ability to diagnose complex issues related to software applications like Microsoft Office or operating system malfunctions.
Knowledge of computer hardware components and their maintenance is preferred.
Certifications related to networking (e.g., Cisco CCNA), operating systems (e.g., Microsoft Certified), or support tools are a plus.
