Overview

We are seeking a skilled Junior Project Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have some experience in project management in the ICI Construction sector, and possess a strong set of skills to lead project implementation successfully.

Responsibilities:

- Support Project Managers by coordinating different aspects of projects including but not limited to shop drawings, fabrication, erection schedule, change orders, cost control, etc. with a strong understanding of the construction process and related documentation.

- Coordinate resources, both internal and external, and monitor project progress

- Implement change management processes as needed, reviewing change order documentation and compared with contract documentation, providing extra/credit cost breakdowns to customers, and supporting project managers to implement such changes.

- Ensure project documentation is complete and up-to-date

- Assist in project close-out tasks, including monitoring deficiencies and ensuring all documentation is finalized

- Visits job sites to review potential challenges, changes and provide direction to full project team to implement

- Prepare correspondence and communicate professionally with clients, team members, and authorities, ensuring clarity and courtesy

- Attend project meetings, take minutes, follow up on action items, and assume additional responsibilities in the absence of Project Managers.

Skills:

The ideal candidate should have experience or knowledge in the following areas:

- Proficiency in project management tools such as Bluebeam, MS Office, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, etc

- Having drafting skills and/or experience with structural steel or miscellaneous metals is an asset

- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and detailed construction drawings

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders

- Knowledge of change management principles in the ICI construction sector

- Proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate project needs and take initiative
