Full job description

At Cypress Restaurant, we provide excellent service and memorable dining experiences for our guests. Our Line Cooks play a key role in creating authentic and unforgettable dishes while working alongside a dynamic team. We are looking for a reliable Part-Time Line Cook in Port Alberni, BC who can work both independently and collaboratively, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and is available to work flexible shifts.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards.
Ensure the timely preparation and service of all food products.
Assist with food preparation for other stations as needed.
Support the execution of daily menus and specials.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation at all times.
Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
Monitor inventory levels and ensure an adequate supply of food and materials.
Present food in an appealing and appetizing manner, ensuring consistency in taste and appearance.
Collaborate with team members to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Chef or Management team.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

Ability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs.
Ability to safely handle a variety of cleaning supplies and chemicals.
Strong attention to detail.
Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
Ability to work independently and manage daily tasks effectively.
FoodSafe Certification
