Marketing Assistant (Entry Level)

About Us

Chens Enterprises is a growing Wholesale Distributor in Canada, home to the Chens brand and our private labels, Trensité Dairy and Applewood Signature. We bring quality products to retailers and consumers across Canada, and our marketing team is expanding to support our next stage of growth.

About the Role

We’re looking for an organized, creative Marketing Assistant to support day-to-day marketing across our brands. You’ll work directly with our Marketing Associate and get hands-on experience across social media, content creation, product marketing, and events — a great foundation role for someone starting their marketing career in the food and consumer goods industry.

What You’ll Do

· Create, schedule, and publish social media content across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Xiaohongshu (RED), following our content calendar and brand guidelines

· Support community management — monitor comments and messages, and flag items needing follow-up

· Design simple graphics and short-form videos for social posts using Canva or similar tools

· Assist with product marketing materials, including sell sheets, spec sheets, and packaging/label coordination

· Help prepare our monthly email newsletter

· Support website content updates across our three brand websites

· Assist with trade show preparation and on-site setup during event season

· Track basic performance metrics (followers, engagement) to support monthly reporting

What We’re Looking For

· Diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (recent graduates welcome)

· Strong written communication skills in English

· Fluency in written Chinese and spoken Mandarin or Cantonese — this role manages our Chinese-language platform (Xiaohongshu) and coordinates with Chinese-speaking partners

· Familiarity with major social media platforms and basic design tools (Canva, CapCut, or similar)

· Organized and reliable — able to manage multiple small tasks across different brands

· A proactive attitude and willingness to learn; food/CPG interest is a plus

· Experience with social media for a business, club, or personal project is an asset but not required
