What you'll do:
Reporting to the Manager, Enterprise Portfolio Management, this role is responsible for translating business needs into clear, actionable requirements and supporting delivery from idea through to implementation.
- Work with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for enhancements and new initiatives aligned to corporate strategy.
- Facilitate discussions to validate, prioritize, and refine requirements, ensuring shared understanding across business and delivery teams.
- Analyze current business processes, identify gaps or opportunities, and recommend practical improvements.
- Develop clear documentation, including process flows, use cases, and user stories, to support solution design and delivery.
- Lead requirements activities throughout the project lifecycle, including elicitation, analysis, modelling, validation, and ongoing management of requirements scope.
- Participate in Agile delivery, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and other team ceremonies.
- Maintain and manage requirements in Azure DevOps, including creation of epics, features, and user stories with clear acceptance criteria, reflecting how requirements are continuously defined and refined in SCIC’s Agile approach
- Work closely with development and quality assurance teams to clarify requirements, support testing, and ensure solutions meet business needs.
- Support user acceptance testing, helping stakeholders validate that solutions align with requirements and expected outcomes
- Review designs, prototypes, and delivered solutions to ensure business requirements are accurately reflected and aligned to intended outcomes.
Act as a key resource to project teams, providing business analysis support and guidance throughout delivery.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this position, you will have:
- A diploma in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field, along with experience analyzing and improving business processes.
- Completion of, or progress toward, a Business Analysis Certificate.
- Strong knowledge of business analysis practices, including requirements elicitation, facilitation, and documentation.
- Knowledge of project delivery and Agile practices; experience working in a delivery team environment is considered an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into clear, structured requirements, including user stories and supporting documentation.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess impacts, identify risks, and recommend practical solutions.
- Experience using Azure DevOps or similar tools to manage requirements and support delivery.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to changing timelines using sound planning and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to work effectively with both business and technical teams.
- An innovative mindset, with a focus on improving and streamlining business processes.
- A criminal record check is required.
