OUR ROLE
We are in search of a friendly and experienced Housekeeping Lead, responsible for the cleanliness, arrangement and supply of all guest rooms in an assigned section.
Key accountabilities include:
- Provide the highest quality of service to guests and associates at all times.
- Ensure guest satisfaction through room cleanliness and attention to guest needs.
- Clean assigned rooms per day following the Housekeeping Guidelines within an eight-hour workday while maintaining established standards.
- Self-inspect rooms after cleaning.
- Communicate room status to hotel leaders through the day.
- Check fixtures, television, radio, and heating/cooling equipment for proper operation.
- Inspect room for maintenance needs and report on maintenance service requests.
- Log rooms cleaned on daily housekeeping report.
- Fold terry and linen while waiting for rooms.
- Clean, organize, and restock cart at the end of the day (terry, cups, toilet paper, rags, and fill spray bottles).
- Assist in the training of new associates as needed.
YOUR STORY
- An experienced professional with previous cleaning experience in a similar-sized hotel.
- Past experience in a Marriott-branded property.
- Someone with good communication skills, proficient in the English language.
- Someone with a positive attitude.
- Someone who places priority on providing guests with the best possible experiences, going above and beyond to ensure total satisfaction and guest loyalty.
- Able to work with a variety of chemicals and cleaning supplies.
- Understanding of WHMIS.
- Able to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
- Physically able to bend, lift, push, crouch, stand and walk for extended periods of time, as well as able to lift or carry up to 30 lbs.
